OFFICIAL 2014 Table Sharing Thread

Okay, Everything is finally finalized enough that I can post this - the alley is officially full.

If you are willing to share space with someone, you are a great human being - there will be instructions to follow.
If you are looking for space from a great human being - this is the place to come to.

PLEASE do not start any other threads about this. please follow these guidelines.

Firstly, you must state very clearly whether you are OFFERING space (and how much you're willing to offer) or if you're LOOKING for space (and please keep your demands/requests reasonable. if someone ONLY has a 6 foot space - and for most people in the alley, that IS the max - they're not likely to even LOOK at your demand for 4 feet - that doesn't mean you have to be stuck at 2, but maybe a compromise could be given)

PLEASE NOTE! URL's are fine if you want to show what you will be bringing to the table.
HUGE PICS in this thread that will make it hard (or even just clunky) to load IS NOT!

Secondly, the person offering space is allowed to seek compensation for the amount of space being given up (BUT THEY DON'T HAVE TO! that is always an option as well) HOWEVER! NO ONE is allowed to accept more money for the space than it is worth. SO DO NOT bother to 'sweeten' your application to gain favor over others by saying "I'll offer you more than he/she is!" cause we won't allow it. There would be repercussions.

Thirdly, If you arrive at an agreement with somebody, then I need to hear about it. And i can't hear about it just from the person who got accepted. I need to hear it from the great human being who is graciously allowing you to share their space (this is a formality to protect people from less than honest folks - of which we don't have any, right?)

Fourthly - be appreciative of the fact that you got space. Not everyone is willing to share their space with total strangers. be respectful of your neighbors and your kind benefactor. do not assume you will have run of the table.

Fifthly - the restrictions of the number of people at a table STILL APPLY! so if you have 2 feet of space and you decide to share it with someone (insane, but who knows!) then you will be UNABLE to have 2 people behind that table at the same time. there just isn't room physically for it to happen. we allow 2 people for every 2 feet of space (meaning that for an 8 foot table you can have 8 people, but only 4 should be capable of sitting back there at any one time - we allow for extra people only so you can get up and walk away for food, panels, bathroom breaks, etc)

Sixthly - if space that has been offered has been taken, please update this thread with that fact. if your space request has been granted, please also update this thread with that fact.

Seventhly (which is apparently NOT a word!)- ANYONE sitting at a table space selling things STILL needs to observe the new tax laws and go through the process as lined out on this page http://www.animeboston.com/exhibits/exhibitor_taxid/

ALSO - you STILL need to check in at the AA desk when you show up at the con. we will STILL have a badge for you. You are in the alley, all our rules still apply, no matter how you got there.

Lastly - if you have gotten space and you were on the reserve list - we will NOT automatically know this. if space should open up and we contact you then you need to do one or more of the following:

1 - let me know you're all set and don't need the space so we can move on to the next person faster.
2 - let the artist you are with know that you are backing out so they can offer the space elsewhere
3 - someone needs to tell me to take you off the table that the great human being allowed you to sit at because you now have your own space.

My name is Jennie and I'm currently looking for space in the Artist's Alley. I probably won't need more than 2 feet (3 feet is also ok) and am willing to compensate you for the space.

My current button selection is this, but before the con, I plan to choose some of those and draw more anime characters from series such as Shingeki no Kyojin, Kuroko no Basket, Free!, etc. that more appeal to the Anime Boston audience.

I've been doing cons on the West Coast for several years now and I wanted to venture out to the East Coast for the first time. I'm willing to pay for my part of the table and help out as much as I can. I tend to stay behind the table most of the time so if you have panels or gatherings you want to go to, I will gladly watch your merch and make transactions for you! I also have PVC pipes and clamps already if you want to share the overhead display.

I would love to have 3ft of space, but I'm sure I could attempt to make everything fit if you were to offer me 2!

Hello! I'm looking for a space at the con this year. I can definitely compensate you for it and will take as much (or as little) space as you'll give me.

I make fleece apparel like these (though I would have a wider range available for a multi-fandom con) and high-quality 1.5" pinback buttons with upwards of 200 designs (mainly text). I have vended very successfully at conventions before, the largest and most recent of which was 8,000 people, and I have attended AB as a regular con-goer every year since 2008.

If you sell artwork I would be happy to allow you to print buttons of your art; I would take $1 for materials from each button sale and you would get the rest.

I would also very likely make you a custom fleece hat as a thank-you gift :3

Hi, my name is Jacinta. I am looking for a space.

I am a 32 year old (in 2 days) female who sells predominantly original art. I am looking for 2-4 feet space to use and am willing to compensate my share.

Why me?: Because I don't have a lot of fanart I wouldn't be in direct competition with anyone selling such things.
I would be selling 99% prints (maybe a few buttons or small items but given the space its likely going to be just prints) I've been doing conventions for over 10 years so if you're new at it I'd also be completely willing to help out and give suggestions from my experience.
I also am very devoted to the table so if at any point you want to run around and shop and the like I'm okay with watching your things while away. I probably won't leave the table except for restroom breaks.

Hey there! My name's Ciaran. I am LOOKING for space. I've been attending AB forever and it's only ever been an enjoyable experience where I get to meet fans of my work and friends I wouldn't get to see otherwise-- and thanks to the generosity of a few people I've been able to continue going the last couple years despite being so busy with school that I miss out on alley signups (whoops.) Ideally I'd love space for the whole weekend-- I don't mind switching between a couple tables either if someone can only offer me one or two days. If a full table isn't an option, half or less than half is totally okay. I'm pretty reserved generally but I'm amiable and I'll help out with whatever. I'll just have prints probably, maybe some small zines.

My sis and I have some stuff we would like to sell Mostly things we have made like, necklace, earrings, keychains, out of clay and lolita bags ect.. we would need at least 3 feet of a table. maybe between 11am or whenever the artist alley opens until like maybe 5/6 pm

Hi there! I'm Yamino, some of you may know me from my fanart or comic "Sister Claire." I was so caught up with other work I missed the deadline for table registration, so I'm looking to share a space with someone! I will compensate your for half the cost, and my wife Ash can help us manage the table and/or be a gopher for food and things if needed.

I will be selling some fanart prints, custom commissions, and my first published version of my comic. I am a pretty high-profile Tumblr fanartist/webcomicker and last time I went to AB I had a pretty steady stream of customer and sold out of most of my prints before the con was over, so having me at your table would probably boost your traffic. I also have a lot of nice display materials we can share to get our work a lot of attention. =)

Remember, AS STATED ABOVE - if you are only looking for half of someones table space, they are only allowed to seek compensation of UP to (and NO MORE) than half that tables cost. (and if they're real nice, they don't have to seek compensation at all)

NO sweetening the pot with extra cash, or else i could be running the risk of having people 'buying' tables so they can sell them for more than it's worth and i refuse to let that happen. on the one hand, its cheating you fine folks out of money, and on the other, it makes the sign up problem EVEN MORE difficult by bloating the applications with people who have no intention of using the tables they buy.

Hello! My name is Ellen and I'm looking for someone willing to share their table space.

I was originally registered for Pro Row this year, but I had to give it up because I wasn't sure where I'd be residing come March. Now that I'm living in Rhode Island indefinitely, I'd love to have a second chance. I sold work at Anime Boston 3 years ago and it was a lovely experience I'll never forget.

I'm asking for at least 2 ft of space (although 3 ft would be ideal) and I have no problem paying the cost, not to mention I'm very good about watching the table and I can even provide a PVC & clamp setup. I primarily sell art prints (some fanart, some original) with some buttons, commissions, and zipper bags on the side. Here's some examples of what prints I sell:
