So, anyone know what was up with the guy that wore a sandwich sign saying "I Hate Cosplayers"? I asked him at one point if he was serious or just trolling the con For The Lulz; his response was, "Neither." At some points he had some people wear the sign while he took pictures, or stood beside cosplayers and had someone else take them.

It's a joke. He IS a cosplayer and the cosplay is a spin on something from Die Hard 3.

Pretty funny cosplay, if you ask me, though really daring to do with the likely chance of people not getting the reference.

Watch the movie "Die Hard: With a Vengence". He was actually cosplaying as John McClane.

My guess is that he was an artist who went to the con for the fun stuff, but had to put up with cosplayers, which he hates? I saw him running a table in the art room so I'm just assuming that.

actually he loves cosplayers and is indeed cosplaying sort of.if you noticed he was always surrounded...he is almost like a live action meme

I saw this guy at Connecticon, too. He's hilarious!

I saw him when I was at Connecticon too. I thought it was funny

i found it pathetic so many people took offence to that sign and wanted to fight him when i saw that sign i laughed and put it on to take pictures lol =]

I didn't see this guy at all. I guess I was at panels at the right time, lol.

When I saw him I couldn't help but laugh. It was just too funny XD But if people are taking offense they should really think...would someone who dislikes anime really go to diss it for the price of a ticket, transportation, and hotel? Some people just need to think it through~ But if someone did actually do that then they'd just loose a ton of money, so it's like instant karma! XD Great Job "I Hate Cosplayers" guy. Hope to see even more next year! ^-^

This guy was awesome. One of my favorite cosplayers at AB09.

Well.... Yeah I saw him, worth a quick laugh just do to the ironic fact that he himself was cosplaying, even if it was the one guy just wearing a cardboard sign still counts as joke.

I didn't get the joke. But the sandwich board felt like a cop-out next to the Gurren Lagann and Haruhi cosplayers.

Although, I do feel that sometimes the media's attention is too much on the Cosplayers and not the general congoers. Anime cons are more than just cosplayers.

The idea of his "kinda" cosplay : funny.
