Anime Boston will be at Otakon this upcoming weekend, July 27th-29th in Baltimore, MD, collecting pre-registrations for 2013! Registration will be $45 for adults and $35 for children (ages 6-12); cash or check only.

Random question but is there a reason that it's $45 if you pre-register in person at events and $50 if you do it from home? I'm just curious since I could've sworn in the past the rates were the same for the early bird, whether it was in person or not.

The in-person rates and online registration rates always match. Online registration just has not gone live yet.

Really? I could've sworn it had the information up and said it was $50. Now, I didn't try to register but I just thought it was odd. Does that mean when it goes live it will be $45 and not $50?

While the registration information page is up, online registration is not. Once pre-registration is live on our site, the in-person registration events and the online price will match.

The rates should match with online registration goes live (date TBD). The rates that are listed when online registration goes live will be the correct rates, though I do not know if there will be a rate hike between now and then.
