Sounds like all the entries are in!! I would love to see what everyone else submitted!!

I ended only having time to complete one entry I did the Bake-Kujira the skeletal whale (which was surprisingly popular in my opinion)

check out my Kujira-kun plushie!!

Thanks!

I'll put mine up on my DA soon, and post links here when I do. But count me among those curious to see everyone else's entries. :D

Posted mine to DA now. They're the most recent entries in this sub-folder in my gallery: http://ah-kaziya.deviantart.com/gallery/8133883 I um...kind of went to town with this contest and had some fun.

Okapirose, I really like your samebito figurine. It's so cute! And Hop, I'm impressed that you managed to make a plush skeleton. :)

Everyone's entries look awesome! :D I don't have a DA, but here are links to mine:

I drew 2 keukegen (one in Photoshop and one in ink) so I sent them both:

Not out. We're just posting what we submitted so everyone else can see, since I don't know if all the submissions will be displayed anywhere once judging is done.

I just want to address a concern that has arisen regarding Honorable Mentions. Originally we said that there would be an Honorable Mention from each yokai category. Honestly, as the entries came in, we realized we were receiving a lot more than we expected. If we gave every category an Honorable Mention, it would be almost 100 of them. But it would leave people who submitted a more a more popular yokai out completely.

We decided instead to revise the rules to make Honorable Mentions an option instead of a requirement for a yokai category. It does change the dynamic of the contest from what we listed before. But we felt it made it more competitive and for a better contest overall.

I apologize for the changing of the rules about Honorable Mentions. While we did state that rules may be changed at any time without notice, it's something we wanted to avoid unless absolutely necessary. This is the first time we've done an event like this, and it has been a learning experience for us and required some alterations mid-contest. As we become more experienced with organizing these contests, we expect to have them better defined at the start.

We really do appreciate everyone's participation in this event, and hope you will continue to participate in the future.

Honorable mention for my Oni! The winners were amazing and I'm glad to be a part of that list.
