If you're going to Cheesecake factory, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. As long as you know they don't take reservations, you give them an accurate head count, and you're pretty much ready to go when they get it set up. A few years ago we went there for a birthday celebration, and they were able to seat about 25-30 of us without too much hassle (after a wait). There's some sections in the back of the restaurant where they can line up tables together to make one long group row. I assume that's the purpose of having them in such an area.
