Title Screen/Frames Question

Post by SkitsoAMVs »

So guys I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this but I'm going to ask it anyway, I made this before thoroughly reading the rules about adding a title screen to a AMV in the contest and made something like a title screen (I mean it does say the name of the contest and the title of the video) but its like a effect. So I just want to know if you would consider this a title screen and if I should remove it from my AMV just to be save?

Here's the link to watch it on Youtube;

Another quick thing I'd like to ask, which has to do with frames (currently I've only rendered/exported in 30 frames or 60 frames for most of my Youtube AMV's) but for this contest I planned on having 60 frames, so would this disqualify my entry? The width and height of the video is 1920x1080 with 60 frames per second.
Should I change it to what is suggested in FAQ or should it be fine as it is?

Sorry for all the questions!

For the title screen, I would suggest you remove it. We have a standardized title card that shows before every video to show the video title and important information.

For your frame rate question, go ahead and submit in the format you have. The formats in the rules are our recommendations based on what we've found works best, but our equipment is flexible and can handle a wide variety of formats and frame rates outside of the recommendations.

Okay thank you so much for the quick reply! I'll go ahead and change the title screen then! :D

If you want to see how the title screen looks, this video shows how it looked last year. The video though is the announcement of the winners and the title screen is after the AMV. During the contest, the title screen will be prior to the AMV.
