Masquerade Craftsmanship applications for intermediate and masters close on 4/1.
Masquerade pre-judging for performance skits is on 3/19. Any applications received between then and the hard application deadline of 4/1 will be placed on the waitlist.



Hello, everyone! I hope 2018 went wonderfully for you, and that 2019 is shaping up to be even better!

We'll be keeping this thread updated throughout the year so you can easily reference the status of your favorite cosplay events at Anime Boston! Applications for most events are still open! Please keep in mind that only two of our events, the Craftsmanship-only part of the Masquerade and the Idol Showcase, are first-come first-serve. All others are subject to a judgment and approval process, which means you probably won't hear back from us until applications close. For each event, this process and the criteria we are looking for are slightly different. If you have questions about a specific event's criteria, please see either the Cosplay Games, Masquerade, or Cosplay FAQ pages on the website or use the stickied posts below for each one, where the individual coordinators will be available to answer your questions.

When do we know if we’ve moved from the waitlist to being in the actual Masquerade? Will an email be sent to the participants saying that we’ve now earned a slot?

Unfortunately we can’t give you a definitive answer, because it depends on when accepted participants drop out. As soon as that happens, we will email you to let you know. If you are curious to know what your placement on the waitlist is, we can tell you that, just email us and let us know your forum handle (or use the email address associated with your Cosplay HQ) so we can find your entry more quickly!
