Rules on fake firearms and other weapons

Subject name is pretty self-explanatory, my friends and I plan on going next year and almost all of our cosplay uniforms involve some sort of weapon.

Our weapons/prop policy can be found here:

Any specific question that you feel is not covered by the rules policy can be addressed to the security staff, but no one can pre-approve a prop. All oversized or potentially dangerous items must be brought to the sec headquarters to be handled and peace bound. It is up to the discretion of staff if an item should be checked in, if you're told to go get your prop checked, please do so.

Your prop stands a greater chance of approval if it follows the rules, it is light and well built, and easily checked. The more complicated or potentially hazardous the item, the greater the chance we won't allow you to carry it in the Hynes.
