Question from a potential first timer at Masquerade

You don't need to be in costume to post in this cosplay forum... but sometimes it helps.

Question from a potential first timer at Masquerade

Post by MagicalDaisy39 »

I'm considering participating in Anime Boston 2025's Masquerade, and I have a skit planned. I've been at Anime Boston before but have never participated in Masquerade. Anything I should know about ahead of time? Thanks in advance!

I would say make sure your audio and visuals are saved on a flashdrive.
• test your audio and visuals multiple times to make sure they are in sync
• practice the movements of the skit so you know the exact placement of where you need things to be
• practice lip syncing and emotions in the mirror.

From an admin perspective, I would strongly encourage reading the rules and requirements very carefully to make sure you aren't missing anything. If you have any questions about the rules or your entry, the fastest way to get a response is to contact the Masquerade Coordinator through the Contact Us form on the website.

Then, once applications have closed, I recommend checking your email frequently as the coordinators will be sending multiple messages regarding application status and instructions for what to do when you get to the convention.
