Post by tehscribbles »

Like doing panels at Anime Boston? Want to test out your panels before AB? Look no more! Anime Boston Out Reach is looking for some panels that can be presented at out reach events. Please email Out Reach (outreach@animeboston.com) the following,

First and Last Name:
Panel title:
Panel description:
Times available:
If available, attach a copy of the presentation.

Please Note! The Out Reach event still represents Anime Boston, therefore panels should still follow our policy  : Anime Boston primarily accepts panels that include but are not limited to, providing information and/or education about Japanese culture, such as anime, cosplay, lifestyle, history, etc. However, panels that provide information on social issues that pertain to the current culture of the Convention Community are also considered (examples such as LGBT, transgender, social anxiety, etc.) This means 'Ask a Blank' type panels are not accepted.

List of events Out Reach is looking for Panelists:
February 9th at the Peabody Essex Museum
October 28 at OrchardCon
Kate-lyn Skribiski Gingerich (Scribbles)
Programming Logistics Coordinator

Hi tehscribbles, can you provide a few more details about the out reach events, such as where and approximate time? I submitted a couple of panels (Enka Music: the Heart and Soul of Japan; Beyond Ramen and Ramune: What's Next?) Depending on the time - and assuming my panels are suitable for the convention - I may be able to participate. Thanks!
Presented 2 panels at AB 2018
- Beyond Ramen & Ramune: What's Next?
- Enka Music: The Soul of Japan

After this, we're also going to look for panelists that would be interested in presenting at OrchardCon on October 28.

I'm not doing panels again this year but I do have the powerpoints and other materials I used from the panels I did in the past.

I have wanted something like this for years ^_^
Serene Adventure on Wordpress
Aurabolt's Anime Blog
Attendee from 2010 to 2018. Ran multiple panels at AB from 2012 to 2016. Plans to return as a panelist in 2023 or 2024!

...All-around nice guy. Please subscribe to both blogs, especially the second one for Anime and Manga-related news or updates ^_^
