Lex Winter has been doing this for a very long time. Since 2008, they have spent years devoted to learning Japan’s history, monsters, and culture and have built their own base of knowledge from which they can draw and teach others. They have lectured at libraries and universities on fandom, history, and more in hopes of bringing new perspectives to the appreciation of Japanese animation and everything else associated with it.
