STAR WARS COSPLAY 2016

Hello fellow cosplayers. I just wanted to know if anyone is attempting to cosplay any STAR WARS characters? I personally will be doing a luke skywalker yavin ceremony cosplay...or try to. Alongside me will be one of my best friends doing a STAR WARS COSPLAY as well. I asked the same question on the "anime boston social" page on Facebook and a good handful of people are doing STAR WARS cosplays and I believe are planning on meeting up. Let me know guys , would love to meet you all and see your cosplays.

Hi there! I was considering bringing Darth Vader, but I am not sure since Anime Boston is more strictly anime. I am definitely bringing him to Connecticon since they are mixed-media, but AB will depend on how much I can fit in my car.

You definitely should bring your darth Vader cosplay to anime boston. Anime boston isn't just anime, despite its name. There are anime, video game, movies and even graphic novel cosplays. So feel free to cosplay whatever you like. Would love to see your vader.

Also, @Lynkos you should totally bring Darth Vader to AB. Despite it being labeled as an anime con, this con is so welcoming to all genres. It's so accepting of everything that this is the first year I'm not cosplaying from any anime on all 3 days!

I've been Revan for two years now, so I'll probably give him a rest. However, I have been working on a Jedi Knight costume (with a twist) that will hopefully be ready to show off by March.

If we are doing a meet-up, maybe I will be more motivated to bring Vader. He is just a huge costume to drag with me and takes awhile to get in and out of. Lol

I will be going as Princess Leia but with Akbar's head instead of just looking like a semi-masculine Leia....I dont like looking like a male in female outfits makes it awkward but if I got my akbar head I can run around screaming its a trap.

Sounds great so far my fellow star wars fans. So I got more info for the meet up. There will be a BIG star wars meet up on Saturday of the con. As for a time and location that has not been set yet. I'll keep everyone on here informed as much as possible. I'm mainly on the anime boston social Facebook page talking to people. As far as I'm concerned, we have a rei, a couple of finns, darth vaders, luke (myself), poe, primcesd leia and jedi knights. So the more the marrier. Buy I know darth Vader is heavy to carry buy it would be awesome to see even just for a little while.
ALSO before I forget to mention, on FRIDAY I'll be doing a JEDI starbucks barista (if my saberforge saber comes in time) and saturday do my LUKE

Oh! If you bring Luke, maybe I will bring unmasked Vader! I have only done it once because the make-up is a nightmare, but it was so much fun. Just need to find a good spot to lie down and be "dying". lol

I would love to see Vader or unmasked Vader that would be great. And a BB-8 cosplay too. This is going to be a big thing. I'm doing the yavin ceremony luke from a new hope. Just without the jacket. I wish I knew a way to put up pics of the cosplay here but you can just Google "luke skywalker yavin"

So far I know that it will be Saturday of the con. I will find out a time or place. I personally am not running it but someone else that I know is. There's a Facebook page called "anime boston social" but I know not everyone goes on facebook so I'll post as frequently as possible. I'm trying to get as many people to come to the photoshoot as possible.

Just finished remaking the dress for my Barris Offee cosplay that was originally made for the (I think) Episode III release in theatres. Took me long enough, lol. I'll probably wear it on Friday since that's when I'm driving into Boston, cause it's easy/comfy. Still debating on which Saber to bring : easy kid's extendoblade for ease of movement or one of my nicer prop blades which should hopefully be con-useable. Hotel check-in, valet parking, brother's/keeper of props' approval, and purveyor of stuff'so mood are all factors. XD Either way catch you all there hopefully!

Alright ladies and gents, from what I'm seeing on the star wars meet up event on Facebook there will be a set time and place.
Here it is: SATURDAY MARCH, 26TH AT 3:15PM
Location: FIRST FLOOR ESCALATORS TO THE LEFT OF THEM BY THE DOOR.
In case anyone is confused, those escalators are by the entrance that leads outside of the convention center. The other entrance leads to the mall. Super excited about this guys.
