Anime Boston offers several locations to officially host a Cosplay Photoshoot, Fandom Meetup, or Special Interest Gathering.
The schedule for Cosplay Gatherings that have already been created can be found HERE.

Anime Boston does not organize Cosplay Gatherings as an organization, the gatherings are created and run by interested individuals that want to meet others with similar interests. Anyone wishing to host a gathering can create one and add it to the schedule directly.
Please see the Cosplay Gathering Rules on what is allowed at an official gathering and the code of conduct. All gatherings held within the Hynes Convention Center and the Sheraton Hotel require a badge membership to Anime Boston and are subject to the convention policies.

How to Schedule a Gathering
The Gathering Schedule is locked. Staff are heading to the Convention. Please contact the Photosets & Coslay Gathering Coordinator on the Contact Us page if any updates need to be made to a cosplay photoshoot, fandom meet-up, or Gathering.

We recommend coordinating your photoshoot ahead of when applications open. Try to combine subgroups in your series to make the photoshoot more general. For example, consider including Pokémon Go, Pokémon Stadium, and Pokémon Sapphire under a single Pokémon gathering to maximize the number of fans that can attend.
1) Sign into the forums, and then sign into Cosplay HQ.
2) Select "All Events" and then "Cosplay Gatherings."
3) Check to make sure there aren’t any existing photoshoots or gatherings for the same series on the day you are looking to schedule.
4) Select a location and time that is appropriate for your gathering.
5) Add the name of the gathering and a link to an event page.
6) Watch your email for any updates from Anime Boston staff that could involve your gathering.

Time Slot Lengths
Reservations can be made for 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
  • < 30 cosplayers - 30 minutes
  • < 100 cosplayers - 60 minutes
  • > 100 cosplayers - 90 minutes
  • > 150 cosplayers - Please contact Anime Boston staff for scheduling in Ballroom A
