Places to eat?

Post by megmo »

Hey everyone, haven't seen a thread about this anywhere yet, if they is one and I missed it I'm sorry. Was wondering if anyone could share some suggestions for places to eat within the general area of the convention. Before the food court was taken out that used to be the go to food place for me and my friends, but since that's not an option now, and it'd be nice to not have to pack sandwiches to bring the whole weekend like I did last year. I know there's the Eataly and the Cheesecake Factory and the Dunkin's in the Pru, but I rather avoid how potentially cramped Eataly will be that weekend, or long wait times at the Cheesecake Factory if I'm able to.

I very much recommend The Pour House.
It is almost directly across Boylston St from the Hynes front door.
The food is good. The portions big. The prices low.

If you go in and it looks like there are no seats, head to the downstairs area.

I agree RE The Pour House. Along with what Fetch said, they have these specials as follows:

Wed. nights 6PM-10PM: 1/2 price chicken sandwiches
Thurs. nights 6PM-10PM: 1/2 price Border Bargains aka Mexican Madness
Sat. nights 6PM-10PM: 1/2 price burgers

Also, their breakfast/brunch items are great, too. :) :)

In the morning for breakfast I always go to Thorton's across the street from the prudential subway stop. There's also King's around the corner from the convention, I've heard the food is good but being a bowling alley you need reservations.

We eat ALL of our meals here. Generally the buffet, but it's the cheapest place we've found in the previous years. It's also right across from our hotel.
