New Forum Poster ranks

Hi everyone!

With our new forums, I've set up some new rank titles for everyone. These titles are located under your name in your posts. They're based on your post count, which you can now see at the bottom of your profile in posts.

I won't spoil what the ranks are, but I will list the thresholds for these ranks. So let's play a little game where you all try to guess what the ranks are. Remember, these are for only non-staff, non-special ranks and they change with post count. Someone may have a special rank that isn't based on their post count.

If you think you know what a range is for an amount, post below. If you're correct, I'll add it to the list!

There's nobody in the 4000-4499 range or above 5000 yet, so I couldn't find those. Yet.

And dokool and BasharOfTheAges have special titles, "Feeds off your tears" and "Under a bridge" respectively.

here's what I've found so far~
1-5: I'm new
6-25: Getting the hang of this...
26-50: experienced poster
51-100: expert poster
101-200: veteran poster
201-300: determined poster
401-500: obsessed poster
501-750: committed poster
1001-1500: show-off
2501-3000: There's life outside the forums?

edit: aww, beaten to it. Darn you Lantis.
Ha, and I just noticed the search functions too. Why would post count ever be needed in a search?

Grrrr.... I didn't realize these forums made it so easy to find the ranks! lol. That's what I get for making progress.

I also know PHPBB fairly well myself, so I knew where to look.

I'm curious as to what the two ranges I couldn't find are. But it'll take a bit for anyone to top 5K posts; the only person in striking range is still nearly 300 away. And for the 4K range, the nearest person is still over 100 posts away.

My post rank would be much higher than panda if I didn't wipe out a lot of posts from the early days in various forum cleanups. I posted 1000% more when I was Chairman.

The last forum reboot in 06 got rid of quite a lot. I think my post count would have doubled with how active I was here back then. But, hey, we have image tags now. That's kinda fun.

Nope. I've got to make some modifications to allow staff to make their own custom titles just for themselves. I haven't quite figured out what those modifications are for now. Until then, once people are on Staff, they'll get the same staff-specific titles.

Unless you bribe me and I make you a custom title beforehand

I know it's thread necromancy, but the staff refresh has finally been timed right to reveal the 4000-4499 range title: "Sometimes mistaken for Vu"

The 5000+ range is still unknown, though. There's also now a group of "AB Alumni", and two additional custom titles: kiarrens as "The Lone Mod" and Mosquito as "Hug Me and Die!"

CURSE YOU, FACEMAN! You were right, you were so right. I've actually checked during the staff refresh every summer to see if one of the two missing ones would pop up. For three years now.

It paid off this year, but the last one looks like it'll remain a mystery for at least a few years. Pulsedemon is over the line, but is an exec, so no title reveal, nearest other person has been inactive for a long time, and second nearest is nearly 800 away.

Just pop the collar on that pink shirt and you'd basically look like any bro. I guess you'd need to get the Little Lord Fauntleroy cut into a fauxhawk or something. The hairy underpants on the outside over lavender pants and Uggs, though, is maybe a little too daring for most bros. I support your decision.
