Boston Greyhound stop taxi share

If you're new to the city or taking the T in from out of town, this is where you can get advice from people living in The Hub. Please keep discussion limited to things in and around Boston.

Boston Greyhound stop taxi share

Post by SpaceCat »

I'll be taking Greyhound to the Boston stop on Thursday, and I should be arriving around 5:45pm give or take some time.

Would anyone be willing to share the taxi cost to the convention center? Should be able to fit 3 people and luggage in a normal taxi, and it would be awesome to share the costs.

The main Greyhound stop in Boston is at South Station.
You can take the T from there.

The taxi stand is between the Bus terminal and the T station.
Sometimes there are a lot of taxis there. Other times it's completely empty.
So, if you can't get a taxi, you can still use the T.

Ok, thanks! I just need to check out the info about the T. xD
I assume it is much less expensive then a taxi too, right?

Much less--like about $2.

Now, at South Station you'll need to take the Red Line (Alewife train) to Park Street. Get off at Park Street and transfer to the Green Line (E train to Heath St.) Get off the Green Line (E) train at Prudential. Come up the stairs, and you're in a mall complex connected to the Hynes and the Sheraton.

Or you could take a commuter-rail train 1 stop to Bay Bay (which I believe is free, but may be $1.70). Back Bay is across the street from the far end of the Prudential Center.
