In praise of AB staff

To all the Anime Boston volunteer staff who may see this thread: Thank you for a wonderful job of making this event possible for us! You rock! :D

To everyone else: Post here to express your appreciation and thanks as well!
The warm red shades of the sunset have a melancholy beauty.
Solitary tears fall into the sea that I sealed away inside my heart.
The bright light that I missed will not come back to me now...
So I want freedom, just like the wind that will come with the next sunrise.

I praise the above poster for praising the staffers...and jump onto the bandwagon to praise them as well.

Lines were smoother than before, reg was awesome, the volunteering staff is the best dysfunctional family I had all that weekend.

Seriously, you guys are awesome. AB is by far the most well-organized and well-run convention I attend (including the one I am staff for), and it is all thanks to your continued hard work.

Keep up the good work and know that it is greatly appreciated!!!!

I concur. The improvements in organization this year were very impressive. I spent less time in line this year than last year despite an attendence increase of 2k. That fact alone shows how well the staff is doing.

Ditto ditto ditto! I know the staff has to put up with a lot from attendees before, during, and after the con - I mean, if you figure that with 17,000 people, if just 1% ask, "When is the con schedule going to be posted?" that's still 170 requests to answer!

Thanks for all the patience and organization, AB Staff :) We lurves you.

To the security staff who had to deal with the ever-changing mess that was the Funimation line (Saturday afternoon):

Thanks for trying your best to keep everything under control, figuring out where to put people in an area that already had several different lines running, and not losing your cool!

Love,

Looking at websites for other big cons, I have got to say AB is wonderful for putting information up online and maintaining an active forum presence that's just about unmached. The web-based schedule and newsletter updates are much more than most cons even attempt to do.

I personally would like to thank all the con goers who were kind enough to post their appreciation of our efforts on here. Although I couldn't stay and work for the whole weekend due to a family tragedy, I still am very happy that all our hard work is recognized. We bust our tails all year long to bring you the best experience we can offer with as few problems as possible. I too offer props to the reg dept. for the amazing work they did this year on how smooth their lines(what lines?) ran. I also want to offer the same props to all the other departments for their hard work as well. The amount of work that goes into organizing and setting this convention up would probably make some peoples heads spin yet many of these fine people come back year after year and continue to outdo themselves. I hope I get to enjoy many more years of fun and experience with these fine people and also get to meet many more interesting and fun con goers. Thanx again to everyone staff and attendees and I can't wait for next year!

Awww, thanks guys!

I guess the less you all saw of me and my department, the better for everyone. The reg system went a lot smoother this year in comparison to to last year. I'm glad you guys stuck with us after 2008, and I hope you will continue coming to this con for years to come. :)
