Well, another Anime Boston is past and I think things in Live Gaming went very well all in all, despite a few last-minute glitches. I very much hope The Powers That Be keep Live Gaming and Video Gaming together in Hall C. Noise was absolutely no trouble, and I think we had an excellent synergy happening between the two areas.

However, there were several events that didn't go off very well, and I am already making plans for next year. If anyone has any constructive suggestions on what to change for next year, I'd very much like to hear them (trolls need not apply)!

See you next year!

Tyler Stewart

Speaking as a GM, my only complaint was that there weren't enough tables to go around at times.
Other than that, I had a lot of fun. I also got to talk to some of the senior staff right after the feedback panel and begged them to keep the three (video and live gaming and the dealer's room) together again for next year.
I also know that, according to the post in the video gaming thread, that they also have plans to expand, however, so I would get suggestions in fast.

For everyone else reading this forum:

How did your time in live gaming go?
Were there enough events?
What did you find difficult?
Was the selection of card and board games good, bad, too big, too small, or just right?
Were the GMs helpful in teaching you how to play a game?
Were the GMs efficient in running their games (be it RPG, board, card, miniature, etc.)?
Any timing conflicts you would like staff to know about?

Please, we can't make a better game room without your input. Don't be bashful and let us know how we did.

Signs advertising HeroClix might have helped turnout. I looked for Hero_Guy who I recognized from last year and a few people came up and asked if I was sitting at the HeroClix table.

Thank you for the GO Demonstrations. It was very interesting for me to see some that. I missed out on the other demos happening throughout the weekend. The noise was not an issue. If Video Games wants to be back in Hall C along with you all, I would have no problem with it. The deadspace left people with enough quiet to think.

Yugioh tournaments were poorly done for the second year in a row. See post I had previously done for more details.

The only problem I saw was the size 2 font on the schedule that couldn't be read without a magnifying glass, and that's not the fault of the Live Gaming department.

Just as a note I think some round tables would be good and I agree in general more tables, I had my evil players "obtaining" tables and chairs so we could play.

The Go was awesome. It was fun. I hope the boffer people never come back.

I recommend getting a bunch of tables for the "dead space" between live gaming and video gaming next year. Most of the time I was stealing chairs and tables back from people who just wanted to sit and relax a little between their respective games. Also better signage would be awesome.

[color:red]Hiyas all

I really loved the live gaming this year but my BIG complaint was the noise!

And the atmosphere. In past years BeSM had their own room.

Could the Live action game this yr have it's own room too?

Being on those hard floors in my heels hurt like anything and people who came and went really killed the mood the story tellers were trying to create

PLZ!!! Give them their own Room!
I will luv you all.

Not really feedback, more of a question.

Are you counting running a particular block of games count as a panel, If I wish to run a game, should I be using the panel registration form?

If you want to run games, you need to contact me (I'll be putting a call out soon). Basically the deal is: 16 hours of "work" during the con (which is 4 4-hour events ususally) gets you a free pass to the con and a free crash space in the hotel. Alternatively, 8 hours of work on Saturday gets you a free Saturday pass.
