Narutos, Soul Reapers, Sasukes, Clouds, Ls, Lights, ...etc
And Amazingly, nothing for DBZ characters. A girl I was with was Android 17, and I saw one Goku, that was it.

I was a Naruto, and saw a ton of other Narutos. The thing that seemed different from other years, though, is that they were all younger than I was... and at 18, I'm no old timer.

At about 10am on Friday I made the comment to a fellow staffer that, surprisingly, I hadn't seen many Naruto cosplayers.
I promptly turned the corner and was confronted with >3< Narutos. So you can all blame me for jinxing the con

There were a lot of Clouds and I was with one of them. Whenever we'd walk by another Cloud I'd yell for a Cloud fight. Never got one, but maybe that's cause his Buster Sword was a little intimidating.

YES! YES! FINALLY! THE FMA FANDOM HAS GIVEN OVER TO BLEACH AND NARUTO!
Thank god. Now all that is left is us hardcore fans! >:D
Anyway. Yeah, I saw a whole hell of a lot of Naruto cosplayers. Most of them were very young... and annoying. Not all of them, not by a long shot, I have some pics of FABULOUS Naruto cosplayers in my gallery, but it seemed like the vast majority were just taking this chance to get away from the parental units and go crazy.
And the bleach dudes with the black cloaks with the white triangles on 'em were a common sight, too.
There were probably so many Ls because it's such an easy found-item cosplay...
*edit to the person above me: No, you didn't see Eds. You saw people with just the jacket. Does that really count? lol

I saw about a million Misa-Misas from Deathnote...
and I'm guilty of being one of them, but at least you could tell who I was. There were so many that looked like they just threw on something black and put their hair in pigtails.

I saw a ton of Hellsing cosplayers. Not as much as Bleach or Naruto, but there were a lot more than I remember seeing at other cons.

As much as there was a ton of Naruto cosplayers walking about - there were a few truely unique naruto that need mentioning...
Most significant two that i can think of off hand:
Shuukaku Gaara
Cursed Seal level 2 Sasuke
If either of you two see this, Way to go on AWESOME costumes.
(also one from bleach)
Also I believe there was only one Hollow Ichigo walking around... I could be wrong however.

As much as i love Bleach, Naruto and Death Note, I wont cosplay as anything from them cause there will always be someone with a cooler costume and i'll just feel bad about myself.
I plan on going as something completely random next year, i just have to figure out what

Mmm, I feel the same way. I just have no confidence that I'd be able to outdo someone doing the same thing I was. Despite liking those shows, some nice variety is great.
I think the winner for repeat cosplayer was Gaara though, I beleive I saw the most of those.

Perhaps I'm a bit impartial being a Cloud cosplayer, but personally, I always enjoy seeing, high five-ing, and photographing with other Cloud's. The camaraderie is fun!
And if you ever see old-school blue suit Cloud, that's likely me, and I would SO be up for a Cloud fight (Although I'm pretty sure I'm terrible at posing)

I saw a lot of Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, FMA, Vincent Valentines, even a Chaotic Vincent. I saw some Eureka Seven people, and Sailor Moon people, Toboe in human and wolf form, and a Hige. There were a few Spikes, one Faye, one Electra, one Ed, one Julia, and one very talented Gren.

LOL!! Actually, I was surprised that I didn't see more FMA cosplayers this year. I was actually feeling like I was going to be incredibly ordinary by doing FMA cosplay, but I saw very few State Military cosplayers (and OMG, that one Armstrong won the intarnets...)
Naruto, of course. But I saw a lot of GOOD Naruto cosplay this year. This one Temari had the most kickass wig.
OMG, SHINIGAMI!! EVERYWHERE!!
My one staffer who went as Aizen totally won though. He looked AMAZING.
ORG XIII. Lots of Axels...
And KH2 in general. Tons of Keyblades all around.
And I'm surprised that Death Note was as popular as it was this year.

I think it's fun to go as a more known character... I mean, I know how much time I spent on my costume, and for that, I'm really proud with how it came out. ^^ I don't worry about the other anyway. I just try to think of what I could do better for next year. (ex... Get better shoes.)

Contrary to popular opinion, Naruto is not the only anime character that knows Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (stab me for spelling that wrong, because I think I did) . In fact, it is a little-known fact that is hidden by the general otaku community that Ichigo, Kenshin, Sasuke, Sakura, Katara, Ed, and assorted nekomatas (to name just a few) are all secretly real ninjas.
Thus, they replicate themselves. -solemn nod-
