Sherton Hotel Question

So I read that they take one nights stay deposit when booking. Is this all they hold or has anyone been charged more? And does anyone know from past experience when do they take the rest of the money? Just really trying to go but waiting on tax moneys >_<

Hrmm? I haven't been charged anything... I've stayed at the Sheraton a couple times now and booked online, and the bill is always settled upon checking out. Unless something's changed..?

Nothing changed. Just called and found out so problem solved.

It's a policy some hotels reserve the right to in their fine print, but hardly ever carry out.

Yeah, I find that most chain hotels do not do this, but some more independent places do. The hotel in Provincetown that is hosting Nauticon in May did charge me for the first night when I made the reservation, and the rest will be payable when I check out.

In some cases, you can get a special low rate by paying the entire balance upfront with the understanding that it's non-refundable, but these are pretty case-by-case.
