Anime Boston 2011 Website

Post by Faceman »

We've updated the design for the main website section in preparation for Anime Boston 2011. You may need to force-refresh your web browser to update it.

We're also in the process of updating the website content for 2011, so please bear with us if you still see information referring to 2010.

I LOOOOOVE that design!!
Please can we have merch with this design next year? (Please, Mara?)

BTW, you have been fantastic as a webmaster, Chris. I know that I told you this at con this past year, but thank you for being so 'on top' of things!

YAY!!

I actually saw some very cute kimono-patterned lanyards (we sell them at the place I work my part-time job.) Something like a lanyard or a mousepad would work well with this design IMO.

Yeah, forgot to mention Kerry (SORRY KERRY!! PLS FORIGVEZ ME?) I just remembered Mara made the design...

BTW, I'm still bummed that the 2010 'toothpick holders' sold out before I could get one! :(

I got one, Jeni. We should totally get together sometime and.... hold some toothpicks.... together. >.> Yeah. XD

This design is adorable. I know you guys aren't releasing anything about the new theme (if one has even been picked), but might we assume that this new design may reflect the 2011 theme in some way? It'll be a fun guessing game until the announcement!

Jeni, I've got the original one that cracked on shipment, and an extra. Since I hold few toothpicks, it seems only right to pass on the uncracked one to you so you can, you know, maybe hold liquid in it.

Come back to staff and it's yours. 8)

Nope.

That design was up in one of the wallpapers before the 2010 convention even took place. A theme for 2011 has not been picked yet.

Hello! I am the creator of the kimono pattern that you are all admiring and making me feel all bloaty-headed about. Thanks! I'm really glad you guys like it. I got a couple test swatches from Spoonflower.com using this print; we'd talked about doing something with it last year.

Eeee, I'm so happy to hear that you guys like it! *glow*

If I might interject here... Spoonflower is not the best website for custom fabric printing. :/ Their fabric is mediocre quality and sometimes their printing is off (which is why they offer swatches, cause sometimes the colors aren't correct and it's odd). You should try fabricondemand.com . Their fabric is much better quality and their printing is awesome and you won't need test swatches to see how the color comes out :P They offer free swatches, too, I believe. If you're doing this research for the merch booth, you should also try going to a local screen printer, a lot of the time they can print bolts of fabric, which I would trust a lot more for bulk projects than Fabric On Demand.

Anyway, back on topic- I love the new design. I'm looking forward to what you guys do with it.

I was actually going to change my status (under my forum username...) to "Chief Toothpick Holder" but apparently the forums do not allow me to do that anymore. SRSLY WTF. I don't seem to have any of my old permissions anymore...
