What do you REGRET about the con?
This is kind of like the opposite of the fondest memories topic. I'm pretty sure we all had fun this year, but everybody has their mistakes, their missed opportunities, and things that may not have turned out as well as you thought they did.
But it's okay! Life moves on, yes? So share your stories of things that didn't go as planned. Or if you prefer, cheer someone up who didn't have such a good time.
On my end...well, there were many an awesome cosplay that I didn't quite get a photo in time or couldn't catch up to them (Bankai Renji, I'm looking at you). But the biggest thing I regret is not being able to salvage my plans for a Nabeshin cosplay :< I have the costume, and I had the perfect natural hair to pull it off; but I needed a haircut a few days before to look good for a special occasion...I managed to find an afro wig, but I've never worn one before, and I couldn't get it to look anything more than bad. And, I don't know enough Lupin to go with that plan instead :/
Then on Sunday I woke up way too late to catch Cosplay Chess. I stayed home and pretended to do work instead of going one last day.
Finally, the biggest regret I have...is not recording the RC Pokemon fight I had with one of the Team Rocket members! XD

What do you REGRET about the con?
My only regret is not going on Sunday. I woke up late and was really tired, so I decided not to go, and now I wish I had.
Oh, and I also regret not staying for the end of the first Hetalia panel. It seems like a bunch of people wanted to talk to me/take pictures with me after (I was the cowboy America), but my little sister was tired and wanted to go home, so I left halfway through.
Oh, yeah, one more regret. I wish I had gotten to know the other Hetalia cosplayers. You all seemed really awesome, and I'm really wishing I wasn't so bad at being outgoing and meeting new people.

Sunday was also my regret. The hotel said we HAD to be checked out by 10am or we would be charged for a full day, so we had to scramble to pack everything...

My biggest regret is that I didn't pack enough pants haha. But seriously, I regret that I couldn't stay for Sunday but I had to leave the hotel with my brother due to medical reasons.

My biggest regret is (once again) not remembering to take pictures or videos of the con. Why must I fail so much.

That I missed the feud game, because I was locked out of my hotel room without my card key and my con badge for an hour waiting for my friends that DID get onto the game...

Not packing enough pants? I have to agree with you on that (though I didnt really wear much for my cosplay which can kinda be a plus for shirts lol).
But my few regrets? Not asking some of the people I met at the con to hang out (such as some of the silent hill nurses I took photos with.) I really would have loved to have made a few new friends but being extremely shy is a weakness and a curse ;..;.

I regret not signing up here earlier and finding out about the other TF2 cosplayers along with not hanging out with the few I did find. Although I did get a picture with one of the spies.

What do you REGRET about the con?
I regret not talking to a bunch of awesome cosplayers because I was too shy and had this ridiculous thought that they'd all hate me if I tried. x: I always have this problem every year, though I was a lot better this year and actually met a lot of new people and they were all awesome! Still, I wish I could just punt those thoughts out my my head and actually get out there and talk to people!

So many!
That Tenipuri's popularity is steadily declining (despite the new manga) and so few people cosplayed for it this year, or recognized who I was.
I usually try to make a new friend every year, and this year I didn't even speak to anyone (save for the people I came with.) I felt really lonely!
But here's to making up for all our regrets next year!

My main regret is not getting as many pictures as I would have like. Sure, I took more pictures than I had previous years, but still...
Also missed the dance which was saddening.

Biggest regret this year is not going the dance Friday night - I was too wiped from sleep deprivation from finishing costumes the nights before. Even though it's smelly I was still looking forward to it

I regret not talking more to the people who hugged or approached me. I don't know why I didn't. Shy because it was my first time cosplaying? Maybe! :p

Bunking with the people I chose to bunk with.
Only going to two panels.
Waiting in line to get a balcony ticket for the masq only to not go.
Being a shy moron and not meeting people/talking with those who took my picture. I guess the 7th year's the charm?

Hm. Not being organized. Let's see...
I left my keys behind, which stinks, and now I may have to buy a new ignition for my car because of it, I left my torchic plushie that was sitting in my apron pocket, and my happiny plush. My happiny had a christmas tree, if anyone's seen it.

I wish I had gotten in line to meet Nobuo Uematsu 30 minutes earlier on Saturday.
I stood in the autographs line for 2hrs and got denied right near the door.
I was so sad! T_T My cousin was going to get his autograph for me on Sunday since I couldn't go, but he ended up not going.

Ugh...you really didn't miss anything. The whole thing was generally one long slog of stupidity. The winning team won entirely by luck and a couple easy big-point questions. One of them spent the whole time making the dumbest jokes/sounds into her microphone. They couldn't name the most popular FF game, had probably watched 2 anime in their lives and thought that "13" was the average age of an anime fan.
That was one of my biggest regrets. Going to that instead of "My Parents Don't Get It". It would've been interesting to get some tips on how to help my folks understand my interests more.
Other big regrets were not being able to get my Ragna cosplay in time and not being able to go to the hentai dubbing, now that I'm 18, because the last train home left right as it started. Motel/cheap hotel next year...

My only regret is not going to enough of the events. I made it to one panel on Sunday and watched about half of the Masquerade. I apparently left right before the Umineko skit, too, which was kind of heartbreaking. I really would have loved to see it there instead of on youtube.

[color:teal]I mostly regret not bringing my own camera to the con. :c Or, at least buying myself a new memory card so I could have. And I do REALLY regret not going to VGO. I showed up and wanted to get in line ... but I decided to amuse myself elsewhere.
That's not to say I didn't have a great time anyway - I'm just kind of regretting I missed Nobuo. Anyway! The camera thing is big. xD I can't find any pictures except of me/FF Photoshoot the ones my friend took. FFFF.

well, my whole group regrets leaving the VGO early to attend a panel. it was a good panel but . . . VGO!
not spending a lot of time with my high school friends.
not taking a camera, a notebook for one of the panels, or enough snacks >_<
I sort of regret going to the hentai dubbing. I don't mind watching porn with hundreds of strangers, but as a sexual assault survivor, the bake a cake stuff made me a little uncomfortable. should have known it was coming (no pun intended), but still, maybe not the best idea on my part. though I could have left the room to get my boyfriend some water, I later learned he was really dehydrated.
not attending panels on Sunday. I probably didn't need to be in the dealers room all afternoon.

Oh yes, another regret of mine was leaving the VGO concert, because I had a headache and needed to lay down somewhere...it turns out after I left, Nobuo came out and was with the band...the devastation that I missed the chance of seeing him in action doing what hes best at...ahh cruel irony!
I also regret not bringing a camera!

Not taking as many pictures as I usually do ]: There were so many great cosplayers this year, and I squeaked every time I saw one I liked and wanted to snag a picture of, but I was too shy or would JUST miss them, y'know? Also missing out on the Ball -cries- I wish I had gone to more panels and photoshoots too. Oh well, there's always next year~

Im surprised a lot of you guys are that shy, I mean everyone except a handful of people there were. I ws the loud Ash with the Man misty, btw, and while we werent shy at all, it surprises me how many people were scared of people at the con. I mean, they are your people, and you only had 2 days really, so everyone should really work harder on not being shy next year cause I met a lot people and got in a lot pics and everyone there was mad cool.

I was actually going to say the same thing. I also felt bad that I would just walk off after taking a photo, or comeing up with a really lame response when someone would try to strike up a conversation with me about my costume or the character Ezio.
I also felt bad that I had to skip out on the dances both nights, my house is in Quincy (a suburb of Boston for all the non-locals) and I had a fairly long trip on the train and the walk from the station to the house.
I also was kicking myself for not getting John Michael Tatum to sign my box set of Baccano!, I missed his autograph session but saw him later at the War of the Worlds broadcast him and some other voice actors put on. Some of my friends wanted me to go up to him after the show was over but I'm kind of shy and getting yelled at by security or him telling me to have been at the autograph session would have killed me. Lol.

My one regret? Missing the VGO concert. Got out of my panel at 6pm and heard that the line was closed, so I went back up to my room. Got a text from my boyfriend that said I could join them in line, but I said no, because I would have felt bad about cutting people.
Turns out there were free seats left when seating was done after all... ; ;

What do you REGRET about the con?

Finally, the biggest regret I have...is not recording the RC Pokemon fight I had with one of the Team Rocket members! XD
Well, I found a picture of it (blurry) if that makes you feel a little better =D

That does help. A lot. Thank you!
To the people who didn't make it to Bad Anime Bad!, the movie du jour was Frankenstein. And Attack of the Super Monsters showed up in both BAB and Dubs that Time Forgot and is totally worth Youtubing

Biggest regret? Not speaking up about the Hetalia shoot problems.

I regret missing the "Hentai Worth Watching" panel to make a dash for Elfen Lied, only to have Vexille run 40 MINUTES over time without any warning, making me sit through that, when I could have at least caught some of the panel -_-

My biggest regret would be like some that I didn't get in line at the proper time for the Nobuo autograph. On the other hand, the autograph policy wasn't really followed properly (no lining up more than 30 mins in advance) so I guess that's the price one pays for following the rules. I did manage to secure an autograph by buying the signed banner at the charity auction, but I sure would have loved to have a picture taken with him as well.

I regret not going to more of the events. I only went to two. =[ I had a great time though. The only other thing I regret is not talking to more people.

While I would have LIKED to attend the Uematsu panels, I don't regret skipping them - I took one look at those ungodly lines, and decided that there was so much else I could be doing during that time.

my biggest regret is showing my ass to the audience participating the Extreme geek panel, when I was presented an award.

FORGETTING MY #@%#^%@ing furry pants and NOT BEING ABLE TO WEAR MY CENTAUR!!!
This is a lesson: ALWAYS triple check your cosplay list. and the pile of fake fur may not have all the furry pieces you think it does.
AND losing the bon clay pin I bought and then discovering that I couldn't get another one because it was the last :'(
