Are there fees to play in these tournaments?
I believe if time passes, everything turns into beauty. If the rains stop, tears clean the scars of memory away. Everything starts wearing fresh colors. Every sound begins playing a heartful melody. Jealousy embellishes a page of the epic. Desire is embraced in a dream. But my mind is still in chaos and..

I would love to see a wii game besides smash bros. I know of that it's the most popular one but there are other titles like good old Mario kart. I was disappointed last year because all the wiis were playing smash...how would one go about starting an unofficial Mario kart tournament?

Nexus Gaming Alliance will take fan tournaments at show. You will just need to visit gaming operations in the video game room.

Assuming it's the same as last year it should be completely free to sign up in the tournaments.

...Mind you those are the official tornaments. Signups are same day as I recall.

I don't participate in the tournaments due to scheduling conflicts but there are a variety of games set up between tourneys.

Does Nexus Gaming have DDR machines and the like? Also, will Project Diva F2nd be available outside of the tournament? I have it for PS Vita, but I've not played it on PS3 and I'd like to.

Thanks,

I want to say last year they had a DDR machine and there were huge lines to play it, but not sure about this year.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. I guess I'll have to see how the Game Room is this year. Last year it was sort of disappointing... :\

Any way we could add an actual fighting game like Ultra street fighter 4 in the list?

With all the stuff they set up (consoles, TVs, making sure everything works, etc.) will take them awhile, but it's worth the wait

Is there anyway we could squeeze in a Snes Metal Warriors tournament or Xbox Godzilla destroy all monsters melee one? It seems rather odd that this years theme is mecha vs kaiju and none of the tournaments really address this.

And yes if need be I can supply the games for it.

Aw man.. I really wanted to enter this tournament, but it clashes with the masquerade. Plus, I doubt I'd last long since I'm not 100% fluent with the PS3 controller/version of the game(s). Once I get a PS3 later in the year and if you guys have another Project Diva F2nd tournament at AB 2016, I'd be totally game (as long as it doesn't coincide with the masquerade, of course).

But yeah out of curiosity as well, what are the prizes?

I placed 2nd in the F 2nd tournament; the top 4 all got a T-shirt, with the winner getting a $25 Panda Express gift card on top of that. the shirts were from the sponsor's selection rather than being specifically themed. I can't complain though, since it was a free tournament :P
