Fighting Game Tournament Setup?
Based on what I seen from many tournaments this year, I feel this years tournaments should be in that same format. For example, 2 rounds, 2-3 matchs setup on a regular match-up. Have Losers and Losers final too. And possibly have top 8 on a stage or something. I'd like to see this happen. :3

Fighting Game Tournament Setup?
Sup ryan, yeah, I was only thinking about SSFIV and BBCS. I wasn't thinking of Tekken and Soul Cal 4. I just want to see a more "offcial" setup like what Evo setups. Just Sayin'

Re: Fighting Game Tournament Setup?
Getting an EVO based tournament setup would be fairly easy, but with 2 problems arising.
1. Would you want the tournament for the games to be streamed?
2. The choices of games played.
Well, the second shouldn't be hard, considering that's what a poll is for. Also sorry for the random posting, just thought people would be interested with having this in 2013.

Re: Fighting Game Tournament Setup?
6 posts in this thread over 3 years, seems legit.
I think it might be a good idea to focus on one or two big tournaments, for the most popular games, maybe SSFIV and MVC3? People could set up streaming and whatever else for those. But there should still be smaller events scheduled for other games. There's still Tekken, DOA, SC, KOF, Skullgirls, P4A, BB, MK, SFxT, PSAllstars...

I've seen much smaller cons with much more hype for the gaming tourneys >.>.no_detection wrote:6 posts in this thread over 3 years, seems legit.

Though agreed. UMVC3 and TTT2 or SSFIV should certainly be staple tournaments. No idea who organizes or coordinates tourneys, but I can easily help with community accepted rulesets for both if they want them more 'legit' tourneys and aren't aware of said things.

I'll resist the urge to rant about nothing and just say there are openings for people to volunteer through the AB website. If you're interested in helping to organize VG tournaments go through the application process.
