Hanging Stuff in the Art Show

Post by Franquita »

Hey guys - quick question for you.

I'm posting some art in the Art Show, and I was told that they use a velcro setup to hang all their artwork. My artwork is mostly matted (but not framed), and I'm wondering: what kind of adhesives does the Art Show use? Do I need to bring anything, like those sticky-on-velcro-esque-hangy-thingies? I bought some just in case, but I'm not sure if that's the kind of velcro they meant.

Anyone with experience working with the art show have any answers/suggestions?

We use "sticky-on-velcro-esque-hangy-thingies" if by that you mean velcro tape. It adheres to the back of a piece and we can stick it to the boards we have. The exact thing I had ordered is actually this:

Hope that helps!

I bought some of these: http://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-1 ... OgodoksAZA

Will those work, or is the "velcro" (in quotes because it's not exactly Velcro) not strong enough? I worry the velcro tape, with its strong adhesive, will rip the back of the matboard when taken off.
