If this ends up being even remotely like last year, that time means that I still made it in within the "first wave"--and that's even after my first browser crashed and I had to sign up on my backup browser~!

Same here. I think everyone who made it within the pre-12:00 mark is proooooobably safe. Given that the AB Twitter is currently reassuring ppl, which implies attempts are still coming in 20 min later, we oughta be okay.

Also, props to you for getting the backup browser going so fast!

I apologize for the lag you all experienced. But I believe it may result from people refreshing constantly, including the auto-refresh addons set for low intervals.

I may need to look into limiting how often you can load the server content in a given period of time for next year. So the hundreds of people aren't reloading the page 20 times in a 10 second period.

Yeah, that might help. And sorry for contributing. I only try to refresh every five minutes or so.

Honestly I think that auto-refresh addons are, far from helpful, only a source of malfunction in this scenario. Twenty people using those, much less hundreds, creates such an exponentially higher load than necessary that everyone ends up with broken loads anyway, when perhaps the server could have handled the normal, un-enhanced refresh load.

Same here. Refreshing every few seconds is a problem, not a solution.

I do not yet know. i cant even LOOK today because today is booked....i reserved time out just for the startup of this , in case there were issues in the rush to get in.
