i would have flipped too, since *I'm* trying to get ready for AAC myself and i am NOT ready! but thats what i plan on doing on saturday - getting ready for AAC!

What exactly are the Letters of Intent? What do you need in them and where/who do you send them to? I'm a bit confused by that.

For all the talk of chilling out I know that I will be the person with the page open hitting refresh every 20 minutes in between sewing samples, drawing and making prints for AAC. I always try to relax about these things but I get so excited.

Okay, at least it won't be every 1 minute, right?

Thanks for the clear up on the rough timing, that should keep me at least from setting my alarm at 7AM :thumbup:

atemulover - just saw your post when I replied. All it will be is a brief form where you put your contact info and how much space you will need. It's nothing formal like an actual "letter" or anything. I was confused about that last year too. Maybe it should be a Declaration of Intent or something :laugh:

Phase 1 - Letter of Intent.
You are basically declaring who you are, how much space you want and providing a valid contact address. It will not be an actual letter but is instead a form to fill out with information requested by Anime Boston.

I have thought about changing it to "Declaration of Intent" I can't remember why i decided not to. i think i was trying to avoid too many name changes from year to year. i figured *THAT* would be just as confusing ("wait, we've got ANOTHER new system?")

Better of two evils, I understand. You could have a transitional year of "Letter/Declaration of Intent" followed by "Declaration of Intent" or something.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have happened during AAC... I think Nikki is going to be *at* AAC with those few of us that are also going to be there!!

I'm just happy for the letter of intent... I'm going to be at a Craft Sale tomorrow, and then getting ready for AAC and Baku... Too many sales in one month, I'm going to lose my brain before they are all out!!!

It will be linked from the main AA page. At the very top, so you can see it. In bright red letters.

I don't Honestly Know, and thats the problem. I have prior engagements I have to keep as well. I mean I am relying on getting an artist alley table as a way to raise funds for my honeymoon, but I cannot spend all day glued to a computer. Hopefully it goes up very soon. I am really hoping so

i'm pretty sure it's going to be open somewhere around in the morning. because of the art director's busy schedule (she works nights, I believe) I don't think it's going to open at night ... or at least late-ish night.

but i could be wrong. after all, i'm very new to this process

Nikki actually said earlier in this thread that it wouldn't be up for the first twelve hours guaranteed:

Also, for those who are still panicking or worried that they have to stay glued to the computer, relax. As Nikki said before, last year we didn't run out of space for a week. If you can't get to it today (check again after your evening engagements), then you still have a very good chance tomorrow.

thanks amanda - that was all quite correct.

it is now 1:30 and i have only JUST turned on my computer - so for those of you who have emailed me about reserving a table because the page hasn't refreshed yet and you MUST have missed it - thats because it hasn't been put up yet.

rest assured, it shall be very soon - i see no reason why i can't start it ahead of when i was planning on it. (not that anyone was privy to that, but whatever. i'm still tired - i do not sleep well)

Letter in at 1:33(becauseiamacrazyrefreshtwit). Smooth process. I absolutely LOVE AB's Letter of Intent and wish other conventions would use such an easy to work with system. Makes things much better.

that will NOT be happening right away - last year we waited several weeks - (and i am not altogether sure what our time frame is right now, but my one goal is that i want to do it before the xmas holidays) while that is kinda inconvenient - the letter of intent is meant to help me see how much space we need without anyone panicking and giving rushed (and potentially incorrect) information

...crap...is there technical difficulties? the verification email was sent to the right address but isn't working. it keeps saying "We were unable to verify any email address that matches the supplied information." i don't get it. then how did the email get sent if the info is wrong?

whats your name - a handful of letters got saved in the database but NOT sent to me (this is why we have a double net setup to catch these things) - it MAY be that its saying that *I* did not receive the letter. if you give me YOUR name, i can check the manager list and tell you if you need to resubmit.

I think i might have done the minimum size thing wrong - I put a max of 6ft cause I signed up for 2 other people and myself and were going to share it with each of us having 2ft and then I put 4ft as the min cause I thought that was like a ''just in case this is what you'll end up with'' should I have just put 6ft again as the min? Or should I not worry at all?

putting 4 feet means that if for some reason, we don't have enough space to give you 6 feet, you'll be okay with 4, and if all i have is 2, i won't bother contacting you. so really, the choice is yourss
