Well, you kind of have to expect spoilers in AMVs and such. It's hard to make an AMV devoid of spoilers seeing as it's rare that everyone has finished the anime(s) featured. A forum should really be a safe-haven from spoilers. Especially in a thread about which anime series people would like to watch. ^^;

Get Backers

Can fit the theme rather well, both by the investigations being the main theme of the anime, but also the inclusion of the mafia in many many episodes :D

I second Ponyo on a Cliff. I'd even like Tales of Earthsea even though I didn't really like the Earthsea books.

How about Cyborg 009? I miss it...

I personally think a good variety should be played of genres, and also, not too much series that are popular because people might want to see series they have never seen or are old jewels that never were discovered. Know what I mean?

I don't know if these have been mentioned yet necessarily, but some of my favorites in order would be:
1- Heat Guy J- action, futuristic, and crime sorta genre.
2- Basilisk- ninja and romance and action sorta genre.
3- ElfinLied- sort of action/romance...and psychological genre.
4- Dot Hack Legend of the Twilight Bracelet- It is fantasy, action, and a bit on the pychological side in genre.

and if you are into humor I would suggest.....
1- Ebichu (cute and hilarious, but for mature audiences. It is NOT a hentai.
2- Shin chan. (mature audiences)

If you want some classic titles...
1- yu yu hakusho- fantasy, fighting, and school type genre.
2- rurouni kenshin- samurai, political, romance type genre.
3- Dragon Ball

and for younger audiences:
1- Classic pokemon
2- Yu Gi Oh
3- Hamtaro

Sorry for the long list, I just wanted to emphasize that I would like to see titles for different people, so all groups attending can enjoy the screenings. Thanks for hearing them.

Hmm, I may be going way out on a limb here, but...
Can I also ask for some Dokonjo Gaeru? Or some Ikkyu? I love those old shows, but I don't know if they can be found with subtitles or not. Either way, it's worth a shot asking, right? :)

Also: Interstella 5555. That would be so great to see! Glosticks and necklaces should be given out at the door upon entry.

Hare and Guu is an excellent choice. Watching this series in a room FULL of people is sooo much fun. Its what got me into the series in the first place.

And, if by some miracle you can get it, the first couple eps of the new FMA series. I don't even care if it's raw or not.
