Any idea what the feasability would be of showing Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva? It's not out in the US but there is an English dub available in the UK.
I can look into it.

If we're going with the music theme, then I'm going to suggest Nana.

And out of pure interest:
-Clannad After Story
-Princess Tutu
-Serial Experiments Lain
-Haibane Renmei
-This Ugly Yet Beautiful World

And how about Kuragehime? I know Funimation has it on their website, so I think they have a license for it, even though it hasn't been officially released in the U.S. I'm not sure what your policy is on that, but I figured I might as well ask.

Oh, another anime that is a must. Great Teacher Onizuka. A comedy that seriously, just about anyone can love, not to mention a lead character that is just all around badass.

For the opposite end, Full Moon wo Sagashite was there a few years ago. I watched it all, and man..... never thought I could come across another anime to hold a candle to the Key anime. It would be great to see that on a big screen again as well. (I really need more anime like this. :()

IIRC, this was Gainax's 20th anniversary project. While no Evangelion (then again, what is?), I did find it more enjoyable than many fans give it credit for. It certainly gave me the creeps a few times...

Since AB's parent is a non-profit educational organization it would be easy to get a MPLC license as all Disney productions are covered. Then we can see Ponyo... or something good by from Hayao Miyazaki.

I'd like to see some Aria the animation there. Just animes that are different that would get people more into different kinds of anime.

Oh, there we go. Ranma 1/2. Great memories. We should have that at the video rooms. Boy, I would go back to see it. I really got to pick it up again. One of my best anime times.

Odd.... I cannot edit...

Was going to add, I always wanted to see Kimagure Orange Road, but never stopped to give it a look. I would love for that to show at the con. :) I hear nothing but great things about it.

Good suggestions. I have pretty much put in my requests for 2011.. should be lots of goodies for everyone since we have 5 video rooms again this year. We will continue to keep people posted on showings once they are more solidified.

Evangelion 2.0's my big suggestion. Especially since Spike Spencer (Shinji's VA) was just announced as a guest.

The Gurren Lagann movies would be fun to see too.

Is it too late to make any additional requests?

I actually ordered an anime, Ga-Rei Zero, dubbed by FUNimation that I think would be okay to show there, I would donate my copy of it even. But it's release date is April 12th, which is just a little over a week before con weekend, so it might not be feasible until next year.

The product in question contains both dubbed and subbed versions, and all 12 episodes of the series.

I dunno. If I donated my copy I could have it in the con's hands by the 15th, but that's only if it's not too late and it's still feasible, hence my inquiry at this time. Thanks in advance

It'd be really cool to see some of Hosoda's work being showcased. Girl Who Leapt Through Time was an amazing film and Summer Wars wasn't half bad either.

What about some tokusatsu? Here are some examples of toku that have been released in America with official English subtitles:

Kamen Rider V3
Kamen Rider The First (called Masked Rider - The First on DVD)
Ultraman
Ultraman Tiga
Hakaider
Kikaida

I'd love to see more DragonballZ shown at this years AB, any part, any time! But particularly DBZ Kai, since it's excellent *__*

Other than that, The Utena movie, Hell Girl, and all kinds of old school stuff that isn't Fist of the North Star, plz.

-Ergo Proxy
-Trigun
-Wolf's Rain

*shrug* Something along those lines.

Been thinking about checking out more of Kimagure Orange Road. That would be cool to show.

Has that show about that 5 year old in france been translated yet?..... Or subbed or whatever? I never can remember this show's name, I hope someone can chime in on it... =/

Anohana would be great too if that would be possible. Anohana was a terrific anime, and needs more face. Plus, alot of us 20+ year olds would feel our childhoods with it. It's a terrific show.
