The surprising thing is everyone got fed without the food court! I was a bit worried early on, but things seemed to have worked out.

Re: Registration Numbers are in!
Wow...despite everything, good and bad, attendance growth was not even an issue--in fact, we had a 0.64% decrease from 2015; tiny, but still.
It makes me wonder if AB growth has finally leveled off on its own. 2017 should tell...and I'll see you all there!

The reports of cannibalism were greatly exaggerated. It is well known that we have the problem relatively under control, and that it is Arisia that now suffers the largest casualties in this area.H. And when you think what massive hit Otakon took the previous year, this is like coming out spotless.

or it could be some people chose Sakura-con for that weekend instead, as it had some SwordArtOnline~heavy guests...Master of NERV wrote:It makes me wonder if AB growth has finally leveled off on its own.

Re: Registration Numbers are in!
The vast majority of attendees for most cons are local or regional. It's a rare breed that travels cross country for one (and I say that as someone who has staffed both cons). 2017 is the first year since 2014 that doesn't have conflicting dates for the two, so we can see what happens, but they're 2 weeks apart. It's a rarer breed that would do that AND can actually afford to even when they are on different dates.AnnaNeko wrote:or it could be some people chose Sakura-con for that weekend instead, as it had some SwordArtOnline~heavy guests...Master of NERV wrote:It makes me wonder if AB growth has finally leveled off on its own.

Re: Registration Numbers are in!
Looks like I spoke too soon in terms of attendance! (I thought for sure the record would be shattered for sure)
Either way, it was a lot of fun and I can't wait for next year's con.
