Attack on Titan English Dub Premiere at Anime Boston

Post by Pham »

Funi's ADR Director Mike McFarland and other special guests will be at the show's premiere. Stay tuned for more information.

Series Synopsis

When the man-eating giants called Titans first appeared, humans retreated behind massive walls. After a hundred years of safety, a colossal-sized Titan smashes through the defenses, unleashing a flood of giants and carnage in the streets. Eren Jaeger watches helplessly as one of the creatures devours his mother.

He vows to kill every Titan walking the earth. Eren and his surviving friends enlist to fight against the insatiable monsters. The future looks bleak, but there’s more to Eren than meets the eye: he may be humanity’s last hope against extinction.

From the director of Death Note and High School of the Dead comes the series Anime News Network calls “an intense, visceral, and graphic thrill ride.”

Ah, this show. I haven't stopped hearing about it but I never actually watched any of it... maybe this would be a good way to start!

I'm so excited, one, to see Mike coming back to AB for the first time since 2009, two, to see he's been the one chosen to be in charge of such a fantastic anime, and three, to have the dub premiere at AB!!

Definitely shaping up to be a great con this year. :)

Whelp.

Time to marathon SNK. Because I think I'm going to have a heart attack due to the pure amount of fangirling hype that is coarsing through my viens. Please excuse me while I scream quietly in the corner of the room.

Attack on Titan is one of the very few series that I actually keep up to date with instead of waiting for the English dub. I'm actually very interested on seeing how the dub will work on this series. :)

I really am excited about this. I think it's great that Anime Boston is the one that gets to do it too ^_^ I bet a couple other cons would have LOVED to have gotten the chance to do this, so I feel kinda lucky that we get the dub before anyone else haha

I'm also assuming that no video recording will be allowed at the premier, which makes sense :)

I am curious if they are going to have the three guests who are voicing characters at the premier and if they are going to do some kind of autograph panel with all of them together or be the ones who are talking for Funimation with the Q and A part.

For those not realizing it,
Mike McFarland = Jean
Matthew Mercer = Levi
Trina Nishimura = Mikasa

Cast list for the show that has been released are from the Funimation site.

I don't know where else to post this question, but could any one tell me what happened after the first three episodes of Attack on Titan? My friend made me leave so I missed the Q&A. Also did anything happen during the encore other than two extra episodes?
