Global: New for 2013: Line Con, the Experience!!

Post by Faceman »

The Registration process at Anime Boston today is a model of efficiency. Even during peak times, the line for at-con registration is usually an hour long at most. But it wasn't always so. This year will be the 5th Anniversary of Line Con, the tragic Registration Line at Anime Boston 2008.

5 years later and an entirely revamped registration system, many are too young to remember such a horrific event. For those of you who went, you could only tell your friends about it. But they could never fully understand. They weren't there. They didn't see the things you saw. Until now.

In order to commemorate such a tragedy, as well as honor the fallen whose lost souls shall forever haunt the halls of the Hynes Convention Center, we will be re-enacting Line Con 2008 at Anime Boston 2013.

Starting at 6:00 AM Friday morning, the line will form at the first floor of the Hynes Convention center, and run all the way until 11:00AM Sunday morning. Expectations are for the line to reach to be either on the 3rd floor, or possibly at the Boston Commons.

Bring your friends and experience first-hand what it was like to be at Line Con 2008. We'll have these fun activities as part of the Line Con programming block:
-"In or Outlet": Fight over electrical outlets to charge dying phones and gaming devices.
-"Hold My Spot": Tempt fate to see if the person behind you will really hold your spot while you run to the bathroom.
-"Just a Few More": How many friends you can give back-cuts to before you're yelled at by the people behind you?
-"I Didn't Sign Up for This!": Lament over your lack of foresight to pre-register before the convention.
-And many more!!

So come check out Line Con, the Experience. Only at Anime Boston 2013.

Because once is never enough.

Estimated wait time for Line Con the Experience is 3 hours.
