Anime Boston raises $10,000 to fight MS

The totals are in! Through the charity raffle and charity auction, a total of $10,000 was raised for the benefit the Central New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket or bid on an item.

This is about triple what was raised last year! Way to go!

Anime Boston does a great job with this every year, and as a person with a relative that died from MS, i'd like to thank all of you for your devotion to such a great cause.

Not to mention, it was a pretty fun auction. Even though I spent the upwards of 100 dollars on raffle tickets and didn't win, you guys made it completely worth it.

I'm very proud that Anime Boston would take the time, resources and man power to have/hold such events as this, and raise money for a good cause ^_^ Its things like this that will bring me back year after year.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I wasn't sure if there was any other place appropriate.

Does the charity change year by year or will it always go towards NMSS?

We have worked with the MS Society since we started doing the Charity Auction in 2004. We've built up a good relationship with them, so I don't think there are any plans to change at this point.

I think that is a amazingly good amout for people to raise in just three days...and it is going for a good cause as well. I'm so proud of everyone! Hopefully next year I will have a job so that I can donate lots

Whoooot! *waves happy flag* I wish I could have placed a bid on some of the items, but sadly I couldn't, because 1. I'm underage and 2. Mom would have flipped out at the higher bids. But I'm really happy AB raised so much. ^__^ Best of luck in '07.
