Anime Boston

We're pleased to announce the theme for Anime Boston 2011 is music. Please keep your ears open, as we'll have more details in the upcoming months.

I love the new banner on the home page, as well as this theme. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it.

All the more reason to have Vocaloid cosplayers!

I'm sure K-san and Greg Ayres will both be pleased by the theme for 2011.

Greg could pull out his Ichigo hat and sunglasses. Mayyyyyyyybe do a NDB number or two.

K-san could make the chess match a battle of the bands, in a way. Vocaloids, FLCL, Gravitation. And I know there are plenty of anime characters that sing or play instruments (Tamaki plays piano, yes?)

Wonder if anyone's going to be in the licensing mood for K-On! and K-On!! by next spring.

This opens up soooooo many cosplay possibilities for next year! Vocaloids, jrock, Links with ocarinas... so exciting! Hopefully that'll mean some sweet musical guests too

Yeah. I made a LOL_WUT face at this last night...

Anyway, this theme is fantastic.
There are so many possibilities for it, from music in Anime, contemporary vs/ tradtional Japanese music... music in Japanese video games... too bad Nobuo and VGO already visited us last year! (However, I'm sure there will be some amazing guests again for 2011!)

Not to mention the possibilities for cosplayers. There are so many 'musical' characters that I would love to see costumes of (of course Lacus, Vocaloids, but also Haruko from FLCL w/ her Bass guitar, BECK Mongolian Chop Squad, NANA, Gravitation, K-ON, and the good old anime idol singers of "back in the day" like Lin Minmay and Sharon Apple.)

Guess my girlfriend and I will be pulling our gravitation cosplays out again That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the music theme. Not that we go out of our way to follow it, but still...lol.

Oooh, I may have to dig out my old Haruko costume again. I got my bass signed by the pillows at AB a couple years ago!

Will Boston (the band) be one of the musical guests? That would be really awesome.

this is a great theme!
jrock bands have been doing anime songs and if you get jrock bands.......
talk to curerockradio again! they brought gagaaling.
