Finalists

...have been determined!
Notifications should be going out late tonight (around 11PM).
For the numbers-curious, we received forms for 253 videos this year, an all-time record. 8 were not uploaded, 31 were disqualified or were duplicate form entries, so 212 videos were shown at the prescreening, also an all-time record.
There were entries from 18 different countries, and at least one from all six permanently inhabited continents (we still need to get one from Antarctica to complete the sweep). We received entries from, in alphabetical order: Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Canada, Columbia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States.
Category breakdown:
Trailer/Commercial: 14
Drama: 46
Action: 46
Romance: 39
Upbeat: 20
Other: 29
Comedy/Fun: 18
Show of the year was clearly Yuri on Ice, with 22 videos. Only "Various Anime" had more, with 37 (and several of those included YOI). The series with the second-most entries was the Naruto franchise (Naruto, Naruto: Shippuden, and Boruto) with 6.
I'll make an additional post in this thread with the list of finalist editors once notifications have gone out. A similar email will go out to all the entered editors.
Congratulations to all of the finalists, and a huge thank you to everyone who submitted. The contest literally couldn't happen without you.
