2013 Anime Music Video Contest Info and Submissions

Post by Faceman »

Information for the Anime Music Video Contests can be found here.

The rules have been cleaned up and clarified, but overall have remained the same from last year.

The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2013.

I have some great AMVs on my YouTube channel, (EleniGRQT) and I was wondering if I could submit my Stereo Love AMV. It doesn't have any foul words and only the normal tiniest bit of anime nudity, but really nothing intense.
anyway yeah I look forward to my first anime convention... EVER! ^_^

I know fansubs are not allowed but are the official licensed subs allowed? I'm not sure what "commercial tapes" are either!
If anyone can help me, thanks. :?

The rules say:
Entries may not use subtitled footage from fan-subtitled or commercial tapes. However, you are free to add your own subtitles to your entries.
Commercial tapes mean the footage available for purchase from the publisher. In short, no subtitles are allowed at all, no matter if they're fansub or official licensed subs. The only exception is if you make the subtitles yourself. Like, you actually put the lettering and words down as a layer in your video.
