Here's hoping the concept of "programming tracks" makes headway in the future.

-Double-Booking of AMV events on Sunday 12:30PM to 1:30PM (Fun/Upbeat overflow vs 10-year winners showcase)

The contest times are good, only I was actually hoping the Friday night one would be later this year, but that was for entirely personal reasons.

I hope the acoustics in Hall D are decent this year. I have very sensitive ears. =(

Thanks for the schedule, I haven't had a chance to look at the whole thing yet. I'm glad both of the main AMV showings are at good times again though.

Yeah, good times for the main showiings but like always, the overflows are pretty ugly in placement. Sunday ones have the best slots IMO.

To whomever pulled the strings and got the hentai AMV contest a full hour before the hentai dubbing even starts, I would like to say THANK YOU!!!! This is the first year I believe that they haven't overlapped, and I won't have to sprint across the convention center to catch both events. This has definitely made my entire AB weekend! How bad does it sound that my favorite event is porn related?

If I may chime in about the overflows. It is my duty to schedule the entire video programming schedule. A few things have always been factors in scheduling them is that 1) overflows can not start until after the second AMV contest showing on Saturday (hence why you see no overflows on Fridays) and 2) If there is an industry video event, they take priority (things in the video schedule that I can't move) and 3) overflows are all in Bluray so need to go into rooms that are equipped with bluray. Also a thing I try to do is not block them back-to-back in the same room.

I tried my darndest to not make things overlap on my end. I tried. ;_; Add to the mix panels and our 10 year AMV events. Know that I did have AMV lovers in mind while scheduling.

The Hentai video contest was put in the schedule without even looking at the other hentai stuff... it was by chance it was not same, but I am glad it was properly placed.

The contest is... a contest. It's where the videos that made the finals (a.k.a. the "finalists") become the "winners" through this magical process known as "voting." This is carried out by people sitting in chairs known as "the audience" on pieces of paper called "ballots" with... well... magic, I guess. Pencils and pens are too dangerous to provide.

I only asked cuz my vid didn't make it to the deadline and I was hoping it was going to be another opportunity

If your video didn't make the finals, it will be shown during the Overflow screening for that category. It's not in the contest but people will still get to see it. ^_^

Unfotunately no. You would have to sit through the entire overflow.

Which is the fun part. I remember a few years ago, Meli-chan's HNE video hit the comedy overflow. I THINK the overflow that year was mixed with other videos besides comedy, and we literally sat there the whole time waiting for it. Her video was the final video to appear, by the luck of it all.

I fear the Drama overflow too. I won't be going though. 3 hours during the day at that time kills me. No telling when mine or my friend's video will be on, and killing 3 con hours during busy hours doesn't work.
