Good afternoon!

I hope all is well, I see the newest update to the guidelines this year is

‘If selected, participants must provide MP3 files for their songs that are pre-cut to 60–90 seconds and pre-censored.’

That said, just a quick clarification question - will there be an option for those less technically inclined to simply have the first 60-90 seconds play without any edits?

Thank you for your time!

I'll leave answering that to staff, but if the answer is no, there are sites out there that let you quickly trim audio files without needing to learn how to use full audio editing software. The first 3 I see on Google are:

https://audiotrimmer.com/
https://clideo.com/cut-audio
https://mp3cut.net/

I've used the first one quite a few times for shortening files to use as Discord soundboards.

We are requesting that all participants prepare their own media files this year across all our events that require participant-specific media.

As already suggested, a site like https://audiotrimmer.com/ will do the trick for simple cuts like the ones you're looking to make.
For reference - for those who want to do more elaborate cuts, Audacity is open source - https://www.audacityteam.org/

Hi everyone! I’m so excited, this is my first year participating in lip sync and I can’t wait. I did have a question about rehearsal, is it on Friday after check-in or on Saturday at call time? I’m wearing something wildly different on Friday than who I’m performing as on Saturday so I want to prepare. Thank you!

hello! i'll be part of a duo for the lip sync, and i was wondering if we had to separately email in our character introductions or if it was alright for just one of us to send it since it would be for both of us !

Hello there,

LSB does not have a rehearsal, so you don't need to worry about that! The times you will need to arrive for LSB have been emailed to participants, but will be sent as a reminder closer to the con too.

Hello there,

It's fine for just one partner to send the email! :)
