For any of the cosplay events,
Are there any rules about 3D printing for cosplay?

Re: 3D Printing
(As always, not staff) Do you mean for pieces of your costume or for props? For props, the general consensus seems to be “if you hit someone with your prop, will the person or the prop break first?”. I’m not sure how hefty 3D printed stuff is in that vein, so do consider that. What exactly are you looking to 3D print? It sounds super cool!

Re: 3D Printing
Again - nothing can be preapproved before the con, and Security will always have the final say. That said, I've seen 3D printing used for parts of costumes, or to create puzzle pieces to put together larger costume pieces. But individual pieces may be harder to pass security, especially if they have any sharp edges, or end up being super hefty. Something to keep in mind while thinking about your 3D print pattern.
