Anime Boston GOES EXTREEEEEEEME.

Post by Oriana »

ZOMG. My panel are approved and I is bringing my immaturity to Anime Boston! PortConMaine's successful and 18+ panel/gameshow "EXTREME GEEK" is making it's debut non-PCM appearance at Anime Boston!

If you've never played... It's an experience. And if you're easily offended? Don't come. And if you think you're the hardest core geek there is, THE biggest Naruto Fan, the dude who knows the MOST about EVERY anime- is this the panel for you? Sure. If you can take THE MOCKERY! (oh god, the mockery.)

So come visit our silly games and wacky immaturity as we infect AB with a little hick-wacky goodness, chock-full-of-swears.

It'll be starting (for now *crosses fingers*) at 10 PM on Saturday in room 300-something. :)

People who have never been to PortConMaine will have no idea what to expect. Mere words cannot do justice to Extreme Geek...it's something that needs to be experienced.

This panel looks fun. I may have to show up to defend my title of Geek Elite, if my schedule permits.

It's... A monster. It's like walking into a comedy routine where you're part of the big joke. It's a celebration of geek culture with a mix of serious competition. It's me sending people out to Wendy's for Frosty's for "points". It's laughing at bad jokes and throwing up ridiculous cats and memes. It's being rawdy, raunchy, and sexist mixed with a little inappropriate bashing of every type of geek. It's saying "I know it all!" and being made fun of while being given awards for it.

It's... Ridiculous.

EXTREEEEEEEEEEME. ;)

The only BIG difference is Extreme Geek does not limit it's extreme-ness to Anime.

So if you're only an Anime geek?

Step off. Step off the lawl train RIGHT now. Because lawls will not accept you. Sadly, you lost the lawl battle.

*look of pity for the anime-only geeks out there.* Someone's going to mess yo' *bleep* up if you think you'll win this one. ;)

OH IT'S ON!

You can, but I can assume that we'll be involving the audience as well. We do at PCM at least.

Of course. The audience CAN interact, but if you want to just see the crazy we often have a lot of people come and laugh and enjoy. :)

You don't HAVE to be extreme to enjoy the extremeness!!

I feel as though the people in Boston are too elite to be drawn in by mere pretensions of extremeness. What they'll want is something more, refined. Do you not agree? Civil Discourse, and wot wot?

You know, you indeed could have something there. Perhaps extremeness is just too base for such an audience. Perhaps we should instead double back and devote attention to the finer aspects of intelligent discourse. Hmm, hmm!

Thanks to everyone who came, sang, and participated in the general immaturity of it all. I had a blast and it looked like people enjoyed themselves.

Mayhaps this will return for 2009?! We shall see!!

Glad you enjoyed it. We were worried people would find it too immature, lol.

Hey! Speaking of which- we got video of the panel online! Some dude was taking video in the back.
