Anime Boston 2016 "The Big Five, What's the BIG Deal!?" Panel

Hi everyone,
I applied to host a Panel called "The Big Five, what's the BIG Deal!?". Here is the description I added when submitting my panel: "If you are an anime fanatic, you obviously know what the Big Five animes are (Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, and Fairy Tail), but have you ever wondered why these animes are so popular and what makes them special? Join me as we explore the popularity of these animes through discussion and anime clips. I will also discuss how Japanese history has had an impact on these animes!" If this panel gets accepted I will be excited, the only problem is I dont have 100% perfect knowledge of these five animes (mainly Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach), to which I will devote my time watching them. If you can post a reply explaining what scenes/battles/episodes/arcs/etc you like from these animes and why, it would really help me in my Panel research! Also, tell me what you would like to see in this panel, feedback is always great! Thanks~

A coupleof thoughts: First, these shows have long running and popular manga behind them. Back in my onion on my belt day, Ranma 1/2 would have been listed there.

So, question: would the Full Metal Alchemist series be there at all?

You also might want to touch on how all of these are Shonen series, and four of their parent manga ran in the same magazine, Weekly Shonen Jump (Fairy Tail runs in its primary competitor Weekly Shonen Magazine).

Sorry to say, but no. I chose Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and Fairy Tail because these were popular in the eyes of otakus in recent years. They are also incredibly long with all of them having 200+ episodes. My question is to discover why these animes are so popular and what makes people stick with them for the number of episodes they have. Obviously, there are many popular and great animes out there such as FMA, Ranma 1/2 Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Code Geass. But those are the five I chose to cover. Also, animes like Sailor Moon are best saved for a Magical Girl Panel! Also, I submitted this to AB already, I cant change it!

Sounds like a cool panel, but I think that Attack on Titan is more popular than Bleach. Just my 2 cents, I'll check this panel out if I can.

Is Fairy Tail more popular than Attack on Titan?

In more recent years, I've known more people who know Attack on Titan more than Fairy Tail, even those who don't care for anime that much. I will be using Fairy Tail as its a long-running mainstream anime, also I applied using Fairy Tail and not Attack on Titan. But, if the panel works out at Anime Boston 2016, that doesn't mean I can't use Attack on Titan for future panels!
