Jarrett Melendez is an Eisner and GLAAD award–nominated writer, award-winning comic book writer, and former chef and line cook. He started working as a recipe developer and food writer in 2020. His work has appeared on Bon Appétit, Saveur, Epicurious, and Food52, and he is the author of “My Pokémon Baking Book,” “RuneScape: The Official Cookbook,” and the graphic novel “Chef’s Kiss.” Hailing from Bucksport, Maine, he now lives in Massachusetts with his collection of Monokuro Boo plush pigs.
