If you have someone you'd like to see as a Japanese Guest at Anime Boston 2018, please use this thread to make your suggestion.

Here's some guidelines to keep in mind:

When suggesting a Japanese guest, please give us their name and not just what shows they've been in or their character names. Linking to their Wikipedia, Anime News Network, or Facebook page is a big help.

Keep in mind that even though someone may make a great Japanese guest, there are a number of factors that go into the Guest of Honor selection process including - but not limited to - availability, scheduling conflicts, travel expenses, and logistics.

This is a suggestion thread, not a nomination or voting process; posts seconding and agreeing with suggestions may be removed to keep the thread focused on the suggestions themselves.

No matter how enthusiastic you are, do not ask someone if they'd be interested in attending Anime Boston as a Guest. Sometimes when a potential guest is contacted by fans about attending Anime Boston it can be misinterpreted it as an official invitation from the convention itself. This can lead to confusion, mixed signals, and disappointment for everyone. These situations can actually backfire and hurt the convention's chances to have a guest attend.

Oh, YES, I would love that so much. I would bring my Hatoful dakimakura if that happens.
I would also like to suggest Yasunori Mitsuda because I want to see him in person at least once in my life. He may be best known for his work on the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, but that was the first soundtrack he did. Plenty of great stuff since then. Also an interesting guy.

I think it would be cool to have Sayo Yamamoto (director of Yuri!!! On Ice) and Mitsurou Kubo (co-writer of Yuri!!! On Ice, and mangaka). They've been to other cons in the US, so they might be interested in coming up to good ole' New England Hopefully the weather won't scare any guests away...

My suggestion for a Japanese guest would be Akuno-P. He is a vocaloid producer and light novel author who is credited with creating one of the most popular vocaloid songs (The Servant of Evil) as well as a comprehensive song series with over 50 songs known as Evillious Chronicles. He has created many light novels and manga based on said Evillious Chronicles including the Aku no Taizai series, the Aku no Musume series, and many more.
