Anime Boston

Once again, I'll start the swagage report for the con just past...

Felt kinda odd this year--lots of money, but with no real drive to splurge. Still, a decent haul.

Anime and Manga: The (serial numbered) DVD box set is Risky Safety, 15 years out of print; used, but in excellent condition. Dallos is acknowledged by film historians as the first anime OVA ever (first episode released 1983)

lots of manga, for starters. i got bakuman volumes 16-20 to complete the series, and assassination classroom volumes 14, 15, and 17-20. i wasn't able to find the final 21st volume of assclass, but i'll order it on amazon soon so that i can finally own the entire series. i also got a monokuma plushie and a life-sized mimikyu plushie.

i got a deku "cosplay" hoodie since the booth selling it discounted it on sunday. i also got two shirts, one aesthetic non-fandom one from an artist and another that says "peridot's limb enhancers". also bought multiple prints: two steven universe prints, one deku print, and an overwatch print. and i snagged an enamel pin of tsuyu from my hero academia.

...yeah i got a lot. but it's all worth it.

Friday:

I made sand art at PopCult Anime Con's table that was outside the Dealers Room, and I also got a cute sticker of a puppy in a teacup from another attendee that I met on the elevator at the hotel we both were staying at.

I'm unsure how to post pics on the forums here, otherwise I'd have posted the pics I took of everything I got.

Met both Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Steve Blum to sign my Cowboy Bebop DVD.


One of my favorite artists, Ashley Riot (https://www.ashleyriot.com/), was doing commissions at AA. She blew me away with her rendition of Satsuki was also happy that she was as psyched to draw it as I was to receive it!
