Update: Mercury has orbited around the hynes.
The Mercury photoshoot/gathering location is no longer on the first floor of the Hynes by the Dalton street entrance. Mercury and all photoshoots scheduled at that location will be up on the 3rd floor outside of Ballroom C.


This is the Official Master Thread for Anime Boston 2018 Cosplay Photoshoots and Gatherings. Please follow the rules in this thread in order to schedule a public cosplay photoshoot/gathering at one of Anime Boston’s Cosplay Photoshoot locations for 2018.

Hynes-
Mercury - 3rd floor outside Ballroom C (Recommended capacity- 50 people)
Venus - 1st Floor West Side under 2nd set of Escalators (Recommended capacity- 75 people)
Mars - Outside Room 206 (Recommended capacity- 50 people)
Jupiter - Outside Room 313 (Recommended capacity- 50 people)

Update: New Photography Policy for Anime Boston


Group organizers can post to this thread to add their photoshoot to the schedule.

For this year, locations and times will be first-come-first-served. So please fill out the information properly, so your group can be confirmed faster.

There will be one group per location per timeslot, unless the group agrees to share ahead of time.

Groups can sign up for 1 half-hour, 1 hour, or 1 hour-and-a-half timeslots, depending on expected size. Most photoshoots only take an hour, less people take less time, while we have seen large enough groups in the past that have needed 1.5 hours. (Please plan your shoots accordingly, so you can let the next group start on time.)

Please try to get as finalized a listing as you can before posting and reference the Map of the Hynes, Hilton, and Prudential here. if you're not certain what to call a location or where you're reserving.

As we've suggested in the past, continue to organize with your specific groups within your own individual threads as to when and where your photo shoots will be. Once you are sure, please post the series/group name, location for the gathering/photoshoot, and day and time of the gathering. If this information is not included in your post, then it cannot be entered into the schedule. Post here in the following format:

The schedules will be updated until Thursday, March 29th, when staff will be on premise at Anime Boston. Sign-ups will be accepted through Wednesday, March 28th until midnight. The Photoshoot/Gathering schedule will be available here on the forums, printed at each location during the convention, and in the Anime Boston Guide Book app.

is there any way we could change the location of this meet up to uranus instead of mars and change the time from 5-6pm to 5-6:30pm? We don't want to get in trouble playing music in the Hynes center! sorry for the trouble! ♥
