Anime Boston

So last year a friend of mine created a D. Gray-Man cosplay group and we had a great time. Soooooo I wanted to get another D. Gray-Man group together. I cosplay Allen Walker 1st version and Lavi 2nd/3rd version. I figured it would be cool to meet a few more people and chill for a bit. I won't be able to meet up on Sunday, but Friday and Saturday I'm free. Anyone out there up for joining the party??

A cosplay gathering sounds like fun no matter how big or small. My friend and I might be going as Road and Sheril on Saturday

Oh yay. Are you guys planning to do gray makeup or just stay in regular skin tone? I have a Tyki cosplay I'm working on with gray makeup, so I was just wondering.

When we get closer I'll figure out which exact character I would like to be, depending on what the majority are going to be in.

I'll be cosplaying as Tyki Mikk's awakened Noah form (body paint, armor, and tentacles galore). I may also break out the regular ol' top hat cosplay.

If I'm able to go to Anime Boston this year as I'm planning, I'd be happy to bring my cosplay of Fo (or I guess For, as she is known in the D.Gray-man Hallow anime) and meet up, probably on Friday!

I may say hello as an Allen Walker 3rd edition sometime. My cosplay lineup is larger this year compared to last year so we'll see XD. I may just come by cuz it's been a while even if I don't do him lol

My friend and I are going as Tyki and Allen either Friday or Sunday! I am really happy to see this thread as I was really hoping for a DGM meetup!

Finally got back into my account lol. I"m reprising my Crown Clown from last year with some new add ons!

But, any idea which day we're doing a meet up? Just planning ahead.

So this could happen Friday or Saturday. It's 50/50 right now. Some people are for Saturday and some are for Friday. I do have a few meet ups going for myself on Saturday. I have a Seraph of the End and Yuri on Ice group i'm going with that day. For me the best day to do it would be Friday, but I can certainly try my best for Saturday. There seems to be quite a few people, so maybe a photoshoot/meet up both days would be cool. Up to you people~ Any preferences?

Alright so the general idea is that this is happening on Saturday. Any preferences on time? I am not sure when I have time, considering I have a panel group, that I'm not positive is happening, but I will still be meeting with them Saturday at some point. I will probably be free anywhere from 12-3. Also, anyone have an idea for a place? To me it really doesn't matter, but I suppose it's important to know. Haha.

Well I can meet up Friday if it helps. I got a room! So I can happily change.

I actually feel like I should get off my butt and actually try to organize this on Saturday. I feel horrible for dropping it because DGM was and is still one of my favorite anime. If we are doing this Saturday it would be easiest for me if it were around 12-3:30. I can do Yuri on Ice from 8-11:30 and Seraph of the End at 4-7 PM. Does meeting up at 12-3:30 on Saturday work for others? Thanks guys!

Well I can meet up Friday if it helps. I got a room! So I can happily change.

I want to thank you for your flexibility, however, not many people can do it on Friday, so I'm going to keep working for Saturday. Hopefully there are no more rocks thrown into the mix.

Retro would probably be 1960s-1980s. D. Gray-Man, the original, came out in 2006-2008 and in 2016 with D. Gray-Man Hallow. I don't think it counts as retro. HOWEVER, if you wanted to enter for the chess match, new and upcoming heroes is one of the sides. D. Gray-Man Hallow counts for that. Hope I helped~ Good luck with your line up!

Absolutely~! I'm hoping everyone can have this happen 12:00 earliest to 3:30. 3:30 I have to switch out of Lavi. As the con gets closer, we'll find a place to meet up. If everyone who wants to meet up wants to be added to a FB group or Skype chat that would be cool. We could all chill before the con and fangirl/boy about D. Gray-Man. If anyone in this chat wants to add my Skype: heatherredstone101 or Facebook: Elenor Jacot they are free to do so! Honestly we have quite a few people which is really cool! Can't wait to bring this all together!

Since you started this forum post, I nominate you as the Facebook coordinator supreme. We should make a group and start posting things there... and then later use it to post the photoshoot pictures we'll surely have.

For me, if it's going to be on Saturday then it's looking like Saturday morning or evening is the best. I have another photoshoot on Saturday at 2 PM so it would have to be either well before that or well after that (noon at the latest for the morning, and probably 4 PM at the earliest for the evening).

Alright, there has been an event made in the Anime Boston Social group on Facebook. "D. Gray-Man Photoshoot" is what it's called. The best time I can do to host is 12:00-1:30. I hope that works for the majority of us. Can't wait to see people there!

So sorry!! Haven't checked the forums in a while! You need to be on Facebook and in the Anime Boston Social group to see it. It has been moved from 12-1:30 to 10:00-11:30. Some of our participants have lip-sync battles, including myself. Once again, sorry about not checking!

Hey guys!! Today is the day!!! Don't forget we are meeting up in front of Starbucks in the Sheraton AT 10!!! Do not be late, you might be left behind unless you have contacted me!!! In which case you're fine(I will check my Facebook and forums 2/3 times before we leave). We will wait 5 minutes, but I don't have much time to wait cause I have to head to lip sync at 12:30. Same goes with 1 or 2 of our other members. Aka we're switching cosplay and coming back. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't be late, because we will ditch you.
