Hello there! I’ll be attending AB again this year and was wondering if there’s any special protocol for people with disabilities standing in line for badge pickup on Thursday night. I have back and knee issues and as such, I can’t stand in long lines for very long without being in pain. I sometimes use a cane, especially at bigger cons, but it’s still hard for me to stand in lines.
I’m just wondering if there’s a special line to stand in or should I just find a staff member to be directed?
TY.

Speaking from prior years volunteering & support squading, we did receive direction to assist with anyone seeking such assistance. I have to believe such would continue - I would leave that policy to the staff of course. I have a good feeling though, if you speak to those staff/security/support squad on duty - you should have a positive experience with assistance on Thursday.

First of all, nice avatar. Second of all, while I will wait for staff to answer directly, I do appreciate the insight. I personally never have issues with registration. Even the year of line con, I somehow went early enough to avoid it, but I just wanted to confirm with staff just in case I find myself in a stationary line.Kalyoth wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 3:33 pm Speaking from prior years volunteering & support squading, we did receive direction to assist with anyone seeking such assistance. As someone who attended last year in a similar situation I can say I had no idea what I was doing. But I went the the nearest staff member and they were all super helpful and escorted me over to the registration table to get my badge and sticker! It was fast and easy and I was super grateful cause I was 5mo pregnant
