Where to get tickets for Concerts?

Post by Xixtormentxix »

Hello! This is my 8th year going and my son and i seem to miss the concerts EVERY YEAR!

Our problem is we never know where to obtain a ticket, we finally decided to just try to go to the concert last year but the line to get in was enormous and the officials at the door said a ticket was required.

We are both DYING to see Puffy Amiyumi and Motoko as well (only know the one song from Naruto by them but it ROCKS! And they seem to put on great shows from what ive seen on youtube.

So, 1 . Where & when do we go to get tickets for the shows?

And 2. How much are tickets typically?

And C. Are tickets required to see the show? Do they run out of space at some point?

I am dying to focus on shows and panels this year, please help us!

Tickets are typically free, since we mostly use them to help reduce the line a bit and to try to avoid a situation where a lot of people wait in a line for a long time and then find out there's no seating available. Also, if you're just interested in getting in and not worried about getting like right up near the stage, having a ticket frees up your time to go do other stuff (since there's a lot on the schedule). Anybody else that knows more specifically about this year's plans, feel free to correct me (info desk, ops, security, tech, etc) but tickets are usually distributed outside our Operations office (room 108 in the Hynes). I've seen distribution happening there in the past, at least.

Room 108 is right outside the dealers room correct? Im looking at the first floor hynes map on guidebook from anime boston 2016. Do you know when they start giving them out? Is that something that starts on opening or after the opening ceremonies or something?

They're usually distributed outside of Con ops or on the third floor near the smaller panel/video rooms. As of right now though, the information on where/when the tickets will be distributed isn't available. We will announce how to obtain them on all our social media platforms and the forums once we have that information though so keep a look out (usually happens a few days before the convention).

Tickets are completely free and are handed out on a first come first served basis. Keep in mind though, the ticket is only required for the lining up process but once everyone with a ticket is in, anyone with or without the ticket is able to enter. A ticket is simply a guarantee that you'll have a seat before people without the tickets.

Yep! It's right across the hall from the entrance to hall A. Like Nabil mentioned, keep an eye on the socials or ask at our information desk when you get to the show. There's usually an info desk right outside Registration in the Sheraton and there's also an info desk at the top of the escalator on the second floor in the Hynes.

across the hall from the kerokey room if that helps for any of the oldbies at the conventions if it's the same place like it always is;

that being said, I'm getting a handycapped sticker like i had last year (it made a world of difference and i wish i knew about it other years) is there a time for handycapped people to get their tickets before everyone else? I know i asked about that at the autograph line and she was nice enough to hand me one and stick me right in front of the autograph line when i got there...but i never bothered with the concerts....i'm really interested in seeing PYAMI
cosplays i have complete:
Rocket Member (myself as a team rocket member)
Yurio (yuri on ice)
Rinku (yu yu hakusho
Magi (aladdin Magnoshetot)

I am only so nice once your mean to me i will ignore you and pretend you don't exist: childish but effective
