Once again, how do you feel now that it's over?

Post by coolforever »

AKA the yearly post con depression topic that I create for you all to express your sorrow in.

Honestly, everything went really well this year, and I'm not that upset that it's over. To be honest, with all the other conventions I go to now, post con depression doesn't last too long for me anymore in general.

I will admit, I made some AMAZING memories in terms of meeting people and hanging out with friends, but now it's back to reality. I don't want to go back to the real world, but we all have to.

In the end, I can't wait for AB 2015, but I know I'll be going to other conventions in the mean time while I wait patiently. :)

We (as a family) had fun again this year, but for some weird reason, con depression hit Early this year, on Sunday. Usually, it's not til today (Monday) that we all realize that we have to get back to "real life".
Not sure why, but we All had a good time :-D

Exhaaaaauuuuusted. I dont think post-con depression can hit me just yet because I'm still too tired haha.
But It'll probably hit soon. I only go to 2, maybe 3 cons a year so the gap in between is going to get real rough.

Had a blast, but extremely exhausted. My feet ache and my shoulders hurt from carrying around my Ogre Arms half of Saturday.

Exhausted, as usual. I learned a loooong time ago to take Monday off from work. After '05, I went to my boss and said, "I don't care if you put it down as vacation or personal--my brain has shut down and I'm leaving." He was actually accommodating; it helps when you're into computers professionally and therefore get paid to think. And if you're too tired to think, well...

I had a great time! My only problem was my friend was being a Negative Nancy the whole weekend because of friendship issues.
Though seems like I don't have con flu and post-con depression yet lol
I am excited that I have a job after AB and can get started on a new cosplay right away :)

I had an amazing time but of course the last day had me with depressed undertones. I cried when leaving but when I met up with my friends to go to the car they cheered me up so it was a mixture of sobbing and laughter.

I usually feel sad after a convention is over, but for some reason it didn't happen this year. Things got busy I soon as I got home so my mind has been distracted. Just remember guys, we still have 2015! :D

Im setting my sights on King Richards Faire in the Fall. That'll keep the post con depression to a minimum.

Totally wiped. Ready to sleep for a week, but I'm jumping right back into full time work and school schedules. Had a good time as always though. Registered for PortConMaine as a summer con, though, and that may be my only event until next year - usually I do something bigger like Otakon or Katsu but I'm ready to spend a weekend at a smaller venue, socialize with friends, take the pressure off.

I made new friends.
But now I'm sad because I'll probably never see them again.

Depression hits me right at the feels. :'( This year was my second time going to AB (Last time in 2009). I haven't had this much fun since I graduated college and started working. I'm really glad I decided to buy the tickets and go to this year's con!

Sad that is is over. I am also still very exhausted from the con. Anime Boston the last weekend of spring break makes the following Monday terrible.

I had a real fun time at AB this year. I came for the Friday & Saturday of the con this year, I commuted back & forth both days on the train. I normally stay at the hotel, but this year I wasn't able to do this.

I really enjoyed the panels I attended. Some of my favorites included:

World War Gundam Style
Music Is Magic: The Power Of Singing In Anime
Words Unspoken: Studio Ghibli And Subtle Visual Storytelling
Dai Sato's panel with Ian Condry

Also going to see the comedy and other AMVs overflow was fun, as well as seeing eps. 1-4 of "Golden Time".

As I said before, I had a real fun time. One thing I was sad about was when I got home from the con on Sat., I learned my uncle in FL passed away. I know that has nothing to do with the con, but, that cast a pall over the happiness I was feeling from being at AB.

I always wish AB wouldn't end, as I ALWAYS enjoy myself. I cannot WAIT for next year, and I do plan to stay at the hotel for AB 2015. :D :D

Really bummed out :(

I flew from California for this con and my first time coming was back in 2012 and I love AB! I love Boston too! This con knows how to run!! After attending conventions in California for 10 years, it was time for a change and a friend told me to visit AB as my first out of state convention.

NO REGRETS WHATSOEVER!!! BOSTON AND AB ARE AMAZING!!!! I will surely make sure I come every year for you guys! I was bummed out I had to miss last year due to Fanime and AB being on the same weekend :(

But this year MADE UP FOR IT!!! I will be back again next year, it was really sad to leave AB and Boston. This is one heck of a town and the community here KNOWS how to run conventions!!!

Thank you guys for a wonderful experience! :)

I am sorry about the friend issues :(
Sadly, I also asked the wrong friend to the con with me and wasn't able to sleep much nor enjoy the con very much because of the anxiety and irritation she caused.

This was my first year at any convention! I had a great time but I wished I knew more before I went and that I stayed at a hotel there. I will be there next year so excited. :D

Going back to the real world kicking and screaming but now with so many great memories. Greg Ayers being awesome, meeting new friends, getting to play Shizuo in an acting workshop, seeing the best after-dark dating game ever, hearing for the first time that Durarara!! is getting a second season, dancing with Izaya. ^^ Next year can't come soon enough.
