What videos did everyone watch?

Post by Kusuguru Usagi »

Hello, I wanted to ask everyone if they watched any videos in the Video Rooms at AB? If you did, what did you see? My boyfriend and I saw the following:

Volume I of "Trinity Blood"

Volumes I & II of "Gankutsuo: The Count Of Monte Christo"

"Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek"

We enjoyed them all.^_^ We thought the animation in "Gankutsuo" was really neat, & it reminded us of The Beatles' movie "Yellow Submarine". :)

If you liked Trinity Blood, I highly suggest you also check out the manga and the novels

by Yoshida Sunao.

Rumors are, you can still find English versions of those selling online (in other words, it's a rare item still, if you're looking for English translations. Unless you knew Japanese or Chinese, there are translations galore.)

If you pursue the series to the end, invest in what I've said.

Shall you join me in the Speed Grapher forum?

[Or did you say, that you missed that one - but you're going to get the DVD right?]

Yes, that's correct, my boyfriend & I hadn't seen "Speed Grapher" at AB, but my boyfriend did pre-order for the 2 Volumes. :)

I'll be over to the other thread a bit later.^_^

I was working so I didn't get to watch as much as I would have liked. I did get to see...

Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek: A short, artsy anime. I saw half of it and need to finish the rest.

Loveless: Yaoi, LOL!!

Madlax: It's a few years old but probably the best anime I saw that weekend. Madlax is by the creators of Noir but potentially better then Noir.

Solty Rei: Another Gonzo anime that has potential to be good.

Saw Speed Grapher, the end of epsiode 2, starting after Shinsen just "gave it" to her girlfriend teacher. *those who watched it, know what I mean.

I was always wondering who in the world would play Suitengu - intriguing to know that the Ayres Brothers are doing massive villanry in that series.

R.O.D. on Fri. night.

and Gantzsukoksodksouweijfowoiskkwoeiowkkooooo
Or the Counte of Monte Cristo

(I bet I'll get letters just because I mispelled the name).

Eureka 7 V1: Cause no one in my group had seen it yet.

Escaflowne: The Movie: Cause one of my friends hadn't seen it and why not see it on a really big screen and with really nice speakers at AB then borrowing it off of someone!

Not counting the ADV and FUNimation panels, the only anime I watched was the The Castle of Cagliostro (the Lupin film directed by Miyazaki). I spent most of my time attending panels and buying stuff instead of watching anime. I didn't even attempt to watch Naruto or IGPX Saturday night.

The only things I watched were S.T.E.A.M. and This is Otakudom. I never really watch stuff at cons because I barely have time to fall behind on watching stuff at home/school.

if you managed to obtain "advanced" copies, yes, but volume 7 just came out in America early in the spring of 2006

hells yeah!!

The only series I wanted to see was Bottle Fairy but it was on at like 830am on Saturday and I ended up sleeping right through it. Everything else that I had an interest in seeing, I already owned on dvd.
